It is fucking horrible. Although admittedly it is probably worse because of seeing the process. He has had his eyeballs tattoo'd too. Crazy dude.
I have let my friends tattoo me in the past and have seriously regretted it. Sure he will also one day. At least my bad tattoos are easy to fix/cover. He cant do much with those eyeballs and that scar.

It's probably bad to think this but when I see people get stuff like this done I think to myself, how pathetic do you have to be to be willing to go to this extent to look cool or badass. I personally dont care what people think when they see me, but I guess some people do & then play it off as tryin to be individual. I'll never understand cutting up your skin for any reason other than a surgery.

I really don't see how it's different than a tattoo.

I mean it's in bad taste to want to look like a shitty rejected Tekken villain but I don't think it makes him more or less insane or stupid than anybody else. His aesthetic preference probably makes him a kook but cutting your own skin, coloring your own skin, putting implants into your own skin... whatever, it's none of my concern.

Sometimes people idealize themselves in a certain way because they don't know how to empower themselves with who they are. So they wear trench coats, they get tribal tattoos, baggy pants... who the fuck knows? Often times, the difference between something cool and something stupid is just arbitrary, with it's value being relative to our own personal social values.

I think he did it mostly to say he had done it, because honestly it looked pretty terrible. I've seen some awesome scar work and this just wasn't it...

Alright.. Im going to go out on a limb on this one and stand seemingly alone.. But honestly, I thought it was cooler than most of the tattoos I see people getting. Granted, most of my friends have some interesting body mods.. So maybe Im just used to it or something.. But when I picture that scar in the future.. I picture it looking decently B.A.. I approve.. dudes gonna look like a killer whether we want to admit it or not.

I agree. He is fucking crazy (IMO) but it is up to him. He will surely struggle for employment though.
Also i think if i come home looking like him, my kids would run the other way screaming lol :-)

one of my friends has a scar across his face not even half the size of Popeks from getting slashed with a twin stanley blade. He would do anything for that not to be there, he hates it, it goes slightly red and puffy in the sun etc even after all these years (happened 10 years ago). I would never show him this video. I think he would either be upset or angry.

I agree that it's his body and face and he should be able to do as he wishes with it. That being said, he's still an idiot.

people used to be shocked by stretched ear lobes. now every teen at the starbucks has big plugs. Every one has a tattoo. Kids run around the store with Mohawks in the burbs. I remember when Branding was a fad, then split tongs, then face tattoos. Every one wants to be an individual. And right now he gets to be shocking. Next year it could be old hand.

Thats a good point!

The truth is we don't know the dude well enough to know how mentally stable he is and whether he has made this decision with sound mind.

We don't know if he is going to prison, or anything about him. Having a random 14 inch scar and tattoo'd eye balls might not seem like such a bad idea in a Polish jail!

There's even a good chance that he has sought to have this done for artistic merits, in the same way many of us have tattoos etc. I have fuck all knowledge of the hardcore polish rap scene but if he has a following there you could put it down to a career choice, if that's the case then I say fair play to him!

If he was actually as clinicially insane as you would need to be to cut your dick off then if that's the case then it's a shame he was allowed to go through with it, and didn't have better people closer to him to stop him. But I doubt it.

I tend to think, and this is complete conjecture, he's looked up to in the scene and he's done it to up the ante. Thats a big part of rap culture. In a country as poor as Poland they probably set their sights on different things than we might. The scene there probably resembles bike gang culture more closely than it resembles what we would consider hip hop. But why wouldn't they still be making music, with it's own merits within that culture?

Well either way I would be surprised if Polish rap stars rapped about spinners, put it that way.

Chances are, your parents already cut off part of yours.

I know that seems like an easy trivial jab, but that's how drastic social norms can skew our own personal values. I have my own values of what is cool or not, and they tend to be based on my own arbitrary aesthetic values. I don't like Tekken, and making scars instead of earning them doesn't appeal to me. That being said, I'd rather have that scar on my face than a barbed wire tattoo on my arm. Well, not really but barbed wire tattoos are pretty far up there in terms of bad taste.

I guess a lot of it depends on what one considers to be art. There are plenty of people out there that don't consider tattoos to be art. For me personally, the cons of that scar DEFINITELY outweigh the pro's. But as Chris pointed out, that may not be the case for this guy.

Also, for the record, when i said in an earlier post 'he is fucking crazy' i really didn't mean it in a literal sense, like questioning his sanity. I just meant, that was fucking nuts and the last thing i would ever do, and even if i liked the finished product, the procedure alone would be enough to put me off. It is brutal.
Just in case anybody took it the wrong way there - which on forums/the internet they ALWAYS do. :-)

There is still a big difference between getting circumcised, and cutting your tool off. Not to mention, that usually it's not the participant's decision to have these things done.
I never said the guy didn't have the right to do this to himself. I just think it's stupid.
