Truck transition to back control??

Hi all,

I've been training Jits just over a year now in England. I love the 10th planet techniques and have been trying to work them into my game recently with some success.

My question is about the truck position; I find it a good control and like getting people into it but the problem I have is that in nearly all the grappling competitions I go in the twister is illegal (neck crank), the calf crushes are illegal until brown belt and higher and I find the banana split to be low percentage. Also if people know you aren't allowed pull the twister it makes it easier for them to escape!

Is there a good transition to back control from the truck that I could use to make this great control useful to me in competitions?

Mos def, there has to be a vid on here somewhere I jus cant remember where lol. Instead of going to the truck, keep going and use the lockdown to basically keep the momentum from twister roll all the way to back just skip the truck. I may not be able to explain this well enough without showing it. Maybe somebody else will jump on and be able to explain it further.:cool:

If anyone could point me in the direction of a video showing this transition it'd be a big help!

Also let's say you are threatening with a cad crush or something else, if they extend their arm towards u u could grab their arm and pull them into u then get your over unders

Another thing, you don't always have to let go of the grapevined leg to get both hooks. If you have that leg controlled well enough, they're not going anywhere and you can work for the RNC.

You can push off with the lockdown to spin their body, and then grab seatbelt control. :) It's one of the basic moves from the truck, so you are in luck, lol! I never try it tho, I'm addicted to that calf crank. I don't go for the twister either, I just want that sweet, sweet leglock! :D

I was struggling with this also. Zog suggested the bouncer and it works good. I also realy like the armlock you can get from twister. Look up my old thread for some more good tips.

Been hitting a wrist lock from baseball bat control, a step or two before the twister. For some reason they always see the twister comin n fight like crazy to stop it, I think they should jus chill out, let me get an extra rep in n enjoy the benefits of handicapped parking but whatever, the wrist locks right there, doesn't seem to be any defence whilst simultaneously defending the twister sub..
