If Moon Of The Year was held right now it would prolly go to 10p SF, but who would get Nibiru Warrior Of The Year if we voted for it right now??

My vote would UNDOUBTEDLY go to Magnus Hansson. What he done for the European 10p family this year was absolutely unbelievable! :-)
Michael Dewitt. New rank, new world title...awesome human.
Michael Dewitt
Dewitt or Street Ho
Both inspire me!
I would have to go with the person who has the most golds this year. That would be Ant!!!!!!
Tough one to call but Ant is animal and as humble as they come. I gotta vote for my bro from Omaha Ant Lopez.
Yes, i agree, when it comes to gold medals, Ant and Dewitt are both having beastly years, and so is Nunja & The Red Destroyer :-)
I would have to say my master mentor and great friend john botello. Johns been an affiliate from the very begining, the first ever even. I haven't known him the entire time but I do know that he's been repping 10th planet for years now. He competes regulary every year win or lose. He trains atleast 5 days a week teaching and taking care of his daughter. I know being an instructor isn't easy but john never strays from his dutys. I wish I was better at writing so I could put into words how great john is and how much he's done for me and everyone in our gym. All I know is I've seen john on the grind for the past two years through good and bad and if anyone deserves the title nibirui warrior of the year in my opinion its john. Great teacher and even better friend. This is my plead for john botello because he deserves it!
Wow thats tough to call
Ant m'fuckin Lopez hands down. That kid is Beast mode.
im going to go with rogan based on
finally getting that black belt
repping 10th planet on the biggest stage in mma on the regular
and inspiring 1000's of people to train juijitsu across the world not just at 10th planet schools
he could have called it catch wresting or submission grappling but he called it jujitsu and i'm thankful he did that beautiful shaved down gorilla of a man
Yeah Joe Rogan would be my 2nd pick
yes, Rogan would be my 2nd choice too. Sure if it was just about medals and competition Mike Dewitt or Ant Lopez would be up there for sure. So I am still voting for Magnus. His acts were totally selfless.
I guess it depend on each individual voters judging criteria. Some may judge on competition success alone, while others will judge on a number of other things.
All the guys being talked about are worthy of the award anyway. :-)
Fucking ant lopez. 8 advanced level golds in 5 months. Purple belt promotion. He is as humble as they come. He stays off the web so he doesn't get gassed up or lose focus. The dude has been slaying adult divisions since he was 15 and advanced adult divisions at that. Having just turned 18 always being underweight in his divisions he deserves it. On top of his 10th planet game he just got his 2nd degree black belt in traditional jujitsu and now teaches kids and adult classes.
ant is the man. he has really got some good shit going on. if u don't believe in ant now is the ti start believing. Ant has really got it going. if u dont love the guy then u dont know him. like derek said he is super humble....but her will wreck u in a heartbeat
My vote goes for Magnus Hansson. For spreading the art and the system, holding it down for whole Europe. Much love and r(h)espect to the other nominees.
Dewitt
Magnus! Same reasons.Quote:

Look how many seminars with Eddie he already had, how many people he brought this year and let them stay at the academy FOR FREE!(and please note, that it wasnt for free at all, cos we were 24h active with the whole facility) and also is spreading the art of JJ worldwide! Also the guys from 10th Planet JJ Stockholm are absolutely freaks with the system and I think that every reasonable man will agree with me that it is because of him!!! My vote is for Magnus Hansson!
To put it as simple as this - my colleagues above are just right - competing and getting medals is awesome, but much more important to me is what you have done for the sport - how many more inspired people have you brought to the art of jiu jitsu, how many people have you convinced that 10p is the shit! And yes, there are a lot of people in the US or elsewhere with great contribution according to exactly these merits, but if you try to be at least a little bit objective, or you have been trying to do BJJ in Europe, you will know what I am talking about. Magnus is great teacher, he is the sole reason why people in EU have hope that training 10p will be possible at all! I know about about Eddie since 2004-2005, since I got Jiu Jitsu Unleashed. I have trained it alone with couple of friends and know very well when I got trully convinced that there is a chance for me to train 10p normally - when I learned that there exists 10p Stockholm. So, i vote with both hands for Magnus!Ouss!!
and let us not forget his development of the 'PlanetX' system. Dealing with 80+ people from 18 different nations of people for nearly a week for 1 seminar. He is an incredible human being! :-)
Totally agree Sam and not only dealing...but making us happy! I think that Planet XJJ is something that a lot of people are still not so familiar with, but they MUST start learning it , at least to know how to defend it , like they are doing with 50/50, X guard, Delariva, etc. etc...
Master Magnus Hanson was the guy who make "The BJJ event of the year" for me with his all Europe training camp. So definitely he is The Man!!!
I have a question - when is planned to be the actual vote as this one is "IF" ...
Guys, there IS NOBODY who is doing and who will do more for 10TH PLANET COMMUNITY and the system in EUROPE than Master Magnus Hansson!!!
Usss :)
At first thought, first guy I thought about was Dewitt. With him being a frequent poster on the forums, documenting his progress, I watched him grow leaps and bounds. He's been having an awesome year.
Then Ant's coach comes on here and sheds light on what Ant's been doing and I'm like, damn, that's nibiru warrior of the year material for SURE!
Then Magnus' boys shed light on how Magnus is spreading the art all over Europe. Not just a country. A whole continent. Hard to vote against that as well.
I know the voting isn't happening yet, but I'd love to see each top candidate put together a nice compilation video of their progress for 2012. Not only would it be awesome to watch and get inspired, but it would help others be more aware of why we should vote. All amazing candidates so far.
Denny should be in there too. He lays low on the forums, but his coaching is doing great things for them boys in San Fran.
+1! Ouss!
It's like the entire euro population got an account.
No shit... But it's awesome to see the system growing like wildfire.Quote:

- He is the master, who is trying to help a whole lot of people, no matter the country, no matter the distance, no matter the level of expertise, learn about and improve their knowledge in the system of 10th planet JJ
- Not only has he tried to help distantly, but has also gone to do workshops around Europe putting the emphasize not only on perfectly good technique, game strategy/idea, but also on the more inner side of martial arts and how they must change you on the inside, make you a better person (thus reflecting your game)
- He was able to put up a whole seminar in Sweden, with A LOT of guys flying from all over Europe and abroad, and also managed to make it a Three blackbelt event - His own master Eduardo Duda, Himself and last but not least - Eddie Bravo.
- Apart from the perfect organization he was able to help some of the participants providing for them a place where they can stay easily so that more of them can participate and not be turned down by the expense ratio.
I know that a lot of people see martial arts in different perspective - competitions, golds, trophy's, but i personally think that there must be a balance in everything in life - an fighters successes and his inner peace, one of the persons that showed my that is Master Magnus Hansson.
OUS and sorry for the long post, had some itchy fingers ;)
How many from the same IP? lol.
Rogan FTW imo.
Moon of the year is MTL. Again.
Good competitors will awlays come and go.For me Magnus Hanson is the person that desrve the recognition for his work and dedication to the system and all people connected with it.
What about good competitors that don't go? Like Ant Lopez?
BTW I nominate me because I'm fucking awesome.
If i can't vote for Ant because we are from the same school, i vote for D'Ante' "Cocaine Biceps" Woodard on the grounds that he has the coolest nickname in the system.
