A legitimate attempt by Renor to walk through escaping the Lockdown. Nothing is shown from double underhooks, which is where I want to have my opponent when I've got someone in Lockdown. The other thing I noticed is when Renor places his foot behind the guy's knee to escape Lockdown, that is a great opportunity for the guy on the bottom to Whip Up (or Whip Down > Five-O > Heel Hook). Renor assumes the opponent would re-attempt Lockdown and fail, giving Renor the opportunity to escape his foot.
I have never watched a Renor video before, but I think it's safe to say he likes the sound of his own voice, based on this one. He reminds me of Renato: It has been very special for you to have this time with me.
ja ja, i just started getting these videos in my email from the gracie academy. i'm not even a white belt, so i won't comment on anything other than to say that his instruction seems clear and, as a former trainer, i love his enthusiasm. :)

If you have free time one day, I'd suggest you check out some of Rener's videos on You Tube. The quality of instruction on his videos of even the most basic techniques is second to none. I can certainly understand someone not liking his personality or his delivery perhaps but I don't think anyone would dispute the quality of the actual instruction in the video.Quote:

nice one, the best I have seen on youtube ..would probably work on most who really doesn't master the lockdown. He is on the right track thou, I teach one pass that is very similar and effective, I haven't seen anything better so I stick to it.
Im always trying to find a good pass to improve my own lockdown. I hope one day to release "Mastering The Lockdown" if Eddie would agree
