Marcelo Garcia utilizing "homie control"

This is a video I made showing Marcelo's temporary home at the Chelsea Piers in NYC. About halfway through Marcelo demonstrates a sweep from Homie Control. Of course Marcelo doesn't call it that...but we know what it is ;) At the end of class I told him Eddie calls that, "homie control" and that he (Marcelo) needs to start using crazy names too. He just gave me a look that indicated we won't be hearing the words, "homie control" from his mouth anytime soon...

I know he uses it primarily for the sweep from half guard but I also saw him teach going to the back from it on mginaction.

Nice to see Marcelo using that clinch.

A great humble guy... watched plenty of his techniques, so simple and yet so effective.

Always smiling, Marcelo is one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Very cool that he is developing no-gi and contributing so much to the evolution of jiujitsu. Hopefully he does well at ADCC this year. Retirement is too soon to even be talked about! But, thats up to him, Im just a huge fan that wants him to be immortal. LOL.
