I sprained my ankle and havent been able to work conditioning or run. It hurts to throw up triangles and I havent been able to make it into class but once or twice a week. Thoughts?

Now this is just my opinion, but if you cant train like you need to because of injury and it still hurts you have a higher probability of getting injured at the comp. If you can train from now until the comp regularly then go get sum!:cool:
I thought the same. Mr. Dewitt, you already have a ton of golds. You don't need to prove nothing. If your ankle is barely roll ready, it's not comp ready. Heal up and get the next gold. Gotta be wise. Be a good steward with your body. You only get one in this lifetime. That's my opinion for what it's worth.Quote:

There's hundreds of tournaments, but you only get one body.
I hate the thought of competing at anything but 100%. I dont want to be in the middle of a match worried about something other than tapping the competition.
I am going thru the same thing right now Mike. Our gym is hosting our first sub only tourney on the 22nd and I sprained my left knee (strongside) a week ago. Level 1 lcl sprain. I had been struggling on whether I should compete or not, but finally decided its best to sit this one out and fight another day. Last thing I need is to get injured worse and regret it for months.
