Damn Matt, killing spree! Turns out the second to last one he just Ricardo Almeida'd it to death.
That's pretty awesome. I have some kudu suede moccasins that are amazing. Looked like a pretty cool hunt. I hope they put those animals to good use.
Killing animals just for fun is a retard game. If you use the animal then fair enough. But just killing for pictures is bullshit. What's up, nobody putting up with you force feeding/ramming your religion down peoples fucking necks Hughes? :-)
Hughes is a fucking nob.
Matt Hughes - Bell End
from what i understand the guides get the meat hughes and son keeps the heads, the guides are gonna be eating good cuzos. oh bleeding hearts of the world unite! the man hunts get over it. it's just so retarded to shoot an animal i like mine pre sliced pre cooked pre packaged full of sodium nitrates yum yum. listen i'm not tryin to say hughes is using them to feed a soul. but if you don't like what his doing. you won't like what i do every year. bow season starts soon!
I heard that in Matt's own book, he describes how him and a friend are slaughtering piglets. then they decide to cut open a piglet while it's still alive. I'm not buying his damn book, but if any of that is true I absolutely hate the guy.
Yeah I'm a hunter but to me he doesn't sound like a hunter...idk he somehow just seems wrong. IDC who he gives his meat to because his intentions are just off.....
Those animals are beautiful.
next weekend here in Tx.
As for the animals that Matt Hughes and son kill.....they villages over in that are are fed with that meat as well they get to eat on the animals while in camp. The villagers use all the remains of bones and any hide that is left over to make souviners with to bring them money so animals arent just getting killed to be in a pic.
I feel you i mean he kind of saves face with that but still. I'm a hunter born and bread. I have so much love and respect for nature i never take what cant use and what not. I feel i have a deep connection with the earth through hunting, and when i look at Matt i just don't see these things present. I think he does it for the thrill of kill, and while thats def a part of hunting it's not truly what it is.
At the end of the day when you put Matt next to someone who posses that connection with nature you will see Matt standing next to a real hunter. I know it sounds like kinda of weird but man until your a part of a hunting culture you wont understand.
Totally see where you are coming from Cody and understand it....he is sponsored by Texas Trophy Hunters Assoc. which is the show that this Africa hunt will probably be shown on and I'm just asking...are you saying that i'm not a hunter or you just saying that in general because you said until your part of a hunting culture?
again just asking not trying be a jerk or anything
No no no I'm saying some people wont understand the difference between some like myself (or you. Your a hunter right?) and Matt until they hunt and find that deep connection with nature.
I guess what im saying is that its hard for outsiders looking in to differentiate between the kind of people we are and the kind of person Matt is.
I love the taste of game. I haven't tried too many varieties though. Just deer, bison, and rabbit.
My supervisor threw a little get together a few weeks back. Her husband hunts the deer right in his "back yard." His dad was a butcher so he inherited all his dad's tools and he does his own butchering of the deer. Man, that was the best venison I'd ever had. So fresh. And he prepped it medium so it was nice and juicy. I was trying not to be a savage and eat it all. Especially since they already served us strip steaks. But that damn venison was delicious.
I hope the animals go to good use.
Dont know anything about hunting but it makes me sad seeing these beautiful animals killed. Hope the meat feeds some villagers or something.
One question though, is it normal in hunting to shoot a zebra? That one caught my eye as kind of strange.
