I was told GoGoplataz are "Bad Mannered"

So look listen. I love the GoGoplata. I'm flexible. I over hook their arm and just throw my leg up and catch it right under their face like an All Star outfielder catches a deep fly ball to the corner. But I tell you this. Sometimes my foot doesn't get all the way under their throat. They be blocking hard with their hand. I start the GoGoplata procedure. It turns into more of a Facial Plata and people still tap almost 97.945 with a remainder of 4 percent of the time. However when I keep doing this over and over and over I get told that a foot in the face is dirty. Bull shit Mr. Hand man. So what do you gentleman think? Is a facial plata dirty?

a tap is a tap. if you dont want to facial plata someone for whatever reason push through and turn it into an omo or jiu claw

Not dirty. That same dude proably teabags people everyday when hitting kimuras from side control. Would you go for a gogo if it were available in a tournament? Of course! So you have to practice it.

Next time you have him in spiderweb, break his grip with the douche bag and then the gogo won't seem so bad. I got over rolling with sweaty dudes long time ago.

Do your feet smell? There's a couple of dudes at my gym that would offend me if they could manage to pull a gogo.

I've had guys bitch about gogos as well, in my experience, the only ones who complain are the ones who cant/havnt tried to do it. Such a satisfying submission isnt it! :)

I'll grind my elbow, chin or fingers into nerve clusters and pressure points to open up different submissions or just make them uncomfortable and annoy them.

Did you try suggesting to them that they stop blocking the submission with their face? If they did that, they may find it a lot less painful (or a lot more or a choking hazard, but whatever).

Its your shin, not the bottom of your foot. You could however go loco on them and put your dirty foot on their face and make them smell it, or taste it if their mouth is open. Then we are talking dirty.

Switch to a shell choke instead of giving them a hairy shin/nasty foot facial. I would be upset if your foot got in my mouth.

Wear tights/ankle sleeves and drill it. We got to hit it in competition

If your feet smell like horse then yes it's a dirty move, otherwise no, facial platas rule :)

Facial plata sounds like something you'd see in porn. "Hot cougar gets facial plataed by the monthly Exterminator."

Took a guys back once and went for a rear naked Choke, but hekept his chin down and placed a hand on my arm. my wrist bone ended up sitting just between his chin and lower teeth and I just pulled it tight and he tapped.

Facial platas and gogos are where its at. Teabag triangle is way worse in my opinion. But still awesome.

a conversation i recently had with a guy at our gym.

I got gogoplataed by a rancid foot repeatedly recently. I lived. Tell him if he is that delicate, he may be in the wrong sport.

lol. I've cut a few gums with the "facial plata". Dirty or not it's still one of my top three favorite subs.

I guess the question to ask anyone who complains is whether or not they will stop fighting in a tourney to complain to the ref "Hey that guy stuck his foot in my face! That's dirty!", or if he will stop in a real life situation if someone sticks their shoe in his face to explain to his attacker that what he did is a dirty move. Sounds like this guy might want to try something else. I guess the best option for him would be to learn something and stop getting caught with someone's foot in your face.

If he doesn't like it, he should learn to defend it.
