I've been training through GracieUniversity.com for a while now and am REALLY getting into 10th Planet's stuff. I'm starting the Mastering the Rubber Guard DVD series now. Ok so my question is, should I go back and watch MTS from the beginning? Or should I just watch it from the current one on? Is there a "best order" to watch the videos?

If you want to understand the renato saga and the other awesome stuff on their start from the beginning. If you are primarily using MTS to study techniques I would use it based on what your working on. Like say your working a sweep and the sweep is in MTS episode 3 or episode 4 I would watch those to get my stuff on lock. It all really depends on what your working on. Since your just getting into the system I recommend learning all the half guard stuff first and make sure you have it all down. Try not to try and learn everything at once. Learn a little bit master it then move on. Worked for me........
watch them oldest to current, then current to oldest, then start in the middle and work to current, then MTS 12 to MTS 35, then oldest to middle, then randomly draw numbers as to which one to watch, then use technique guide to brush up on specifics that you are working on.. the oldest to current etc..etc..
MTS is really cool. I love it, but it not at all going to lead to mastering the system let alone the basics. IMO you need eddies books and dvds other than time at a actual moon.
I wish I lived closer to a moon. I called 10th Planet Omaha today and talked to Derek (who was really cool btw) and I'm thinking about making the sacrifice and driving the 5 hours to get there once a month at least. I live in western Nebraska and there isn't much in the way of martial arts schools. I actually teach Karate for MMA and basic grappling at the local TKD school. If nothing else I can get some miles on my Ducati and cruise!Quote:
