My Sambo instructor Igor Yakimov has returned to North America to visit some of his family for the month of November and is kind enough to take some time away to teach a seminar at our academy.
I can't recommend this seminar enough!

Ah man. Good memories. Definitely worth it. I'd recommend bringing something to write with, or a video camera, because you're gonna get hit with sooooo much info it's crazy. Want leg locks? Oh, you'll get leg locks. Want take downs? You'll get that too. Want some old school "dirty" tricks for MMA? You'll get that too.
To me, just the experience of working with an old school SAMBO guy was worth it. And when I say old school I mean it's hard work. No one's gonna kiss your boo boos. But it was a ton of fun.

Okay, I did not get deployed to the Sandy relief efforts, so I am clear to come and play in the Roc :D
I'm hoping to drag at least a couple of the other Ronin over with me so they can get out of their bubbles and see how awesome Team Empire is (small town mindset is really holding back my training partners)

I was debating doing a tourney (Good Fight is in MArlborO MA that same Sat) but this seems like it might take the cake! Guess I'll go look at motel prices around Rochester and also if it's easier to take the Grayhound Bus or drive down.
Course, if any 10thpjj would like to offer a couch to crash on I'd be more than happy to compensate you too!
