That was dope
awesome
Sick video.
Great video!
"Limits like fears are often just an illusion" - Jordan was a beast and one cocky s.o.b.
Joe Rogan is a wise individual.
You can call it a type of madness, but that level of desire, total commitment, and sacrifice to anything is a beautiful thing to witness. In the cases of Ali, Tyson, and Jordan; the end product of their commitment, ultra high level mastery, is also a fascinating thing to see.
But, the desire and commitment is amazing even taken by itself when it doesn't result in total dominance (e.g. the hardcore determination and complete sacrifice of some competitors who, despite their commitment, will not ever reach the highest levels of achievement due to lack of optimal genetics).
That was awesome! Tanks for posting Eddie
Now if I could only get the excellence part down..
Fuck that was good
I recall being in my early 20's going to see Tyson Vs. McBride at the MCI Center in Washington D.C. I ponied up $2000 for seats for my wife at the time and myself. They were fucking great seats. I had Lavar Arrington (From the Washington Redskins) and his wife on my left, and Muhammad Ali and his crew on my right.
I sat through the bullshit undercard fights, not really giving a shit because I was sandwiched between legends, waiting on my hero Tyson to step into the ring.
When it was time for "Iron Mike" to take the stage, the arena was going fucking nuts! I have never felt such excitement to see another man in the flesh. (No homo)
As the fight began and the rounds went on, "Iron Mike" was getting bested to say the least. I was in shock. How can this nobody be out boxing my hero?
At the end of the six round my hero Mike Tyson quit. He sat on his stool in the corner and simply quit!
I have never been so upset in my life. It was at this moment I lost every bit of respect for the man we called "Iron Mike" I feel as if he collected a payday and never delivered the goods, and he did it on purpose.
I hope that one day he and I meet and I can tell him how I feel. It's been well over 10 years now and it still bothers me that he did that.
Ali Rap
Fantastic video.
I actually stumbled onto this video earlier on YouTube, great video and awesome footage of Ali.
That was so dope on so many levels.
That must have taken a ton of work to find all those clips and time them to what Rogan was saying.
very nice. confidence and success go hand in hand.
also liked the jordan quote about taking risks. once you achieve greatness, all the missed reps, shots, and close ones leading up to it are all worth it.
Practice anything 7 hours a day every day for a couple years your gonna be awesome at it.
You'll get awesome for sure, but not Ali, Jordan, Kobe, Tiger, level good. There are intangibles there. Apply it to BJJ. You cannot just train as hard and as often as a Marcelo Garcia or Rafa Mendes and be as good as them. Not even close. Certain people have a level of skill and ability that goes far beyond simple hard work.
