what is 10th planet jiu jitsu ?

Hey all 10th Planet members.

I like to think of myself as someone who is a keen student of knowledge. I would like to find out more about the 10th Planet system. Does it contain all of the standard BJJ techniques and then Eddie has added his own techniques? Or are there techniques that Eddie feels are no longer useful that he has removed.

I just want to put it out there that I am not looking to bash anyone/anything here, I would just like to know more about something that I have little knowledge of.

On an unrelated note, can anyone tell me how to either edit my username or my signature. I tend to not read sign up messages and created my account with a nickname, and not my real name. (doh!)

The 10th Planet System contains all the Techniques of BJJ but also includes all the half guard 10th planet stuff, all the Rubber Guard stuff, deep half twister and many many more things, We as a group are all about growth and about adding to the BJJ world and make it better and better and 10th planet is all about that.

I've recently left a more traditionally orientated gym to learn more 10th planet techniques. My experience has been that it utelises a lot more over and under hooks to controll posture and being a lott more creative. Basically jiu-jitsu tailor made for no gi.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Dennis hit it on the head. Think of 10th Planet as the Jeet Kune Do of the grappling world. If it works, we use it.

As long as you're not starting drama its fine that you are using the name. I think one of mods can change it though

I suggest buying Eddies books MTT & MTR and smoking the best shit in your city, if you 'Truly' want to warp to a new demention. & videos don't do the system justice

10th Planet Jiu Jitsu is full of people who do steroids. Not really, just the Montreal team. I'd would like to add that 10th Planet is a system tailored for MMA jiu jitsu fighters.

I've always suspected Jesse Bell and his meathead brother, Mike Romano, of doing steroids in the backroom while the rest of the students are drilling 10th Planet techniques.

10th Planet is about clinch, brother! No tug of war.

I thought 10th Planet was a collective buyers club designed to get low bulk rates on marijuana purchases. Sort of like a credit union for weed smokers. But then it turned out to be this jiujitsu thing so I just started that instead.

I was thinking this morning as I drew in my first breath of smoke how awesome it would be to puff cheeba with Eddie Bravo and how it should go on my bucket list of thing to do.
