KWEL
I count 11 planets going around the sun
The idea is cool but if you donīt mind my saying look for another tattoo artist !
How old are you?
white belt with a 10th planet tattoo? hmm..
Theres gotta be tons of 10th planet white belts with tats i'm a white belt and plan on having a planet added in to my sleeves.
i dont know, white belts come and go. i think you should put some hard time in before getting a jiu jitsu tattoo, thats just me though
whats to say a white belt hasnt put in lots of work i been training 10th planet JJ for over 2 years now and more than likely i will stay one for a while. Belts are sweet and all but are not an accurate way to measure ones work ethic specially of those of us that cant train at an affiliate that can belt us.
but none the less i get what your trying to say :)
im sure theyre exceptions to everything like youre saying. i just turned blue and i dont think i would think about it til purple.
I can defo see that tat winning some kind of award.
its not a big deal, i just said i wouldnt do that as a white belt
Dude haters gon hate. Get your tats. As long as you put good long thought into it do it up. In the scope of things blue belts come and go and i still plan on getting a SIMS (Derek Stewarts School) tattoo whenever i man up and pop my tat cherry....
I'm a white belt but have been hopping around different jiu jitsu systems/schools for about 10 years because I was in the military. Tattoos are personal expressions of what you are passionate about, that's it. Cool looking tat.
10th planet tattoo or not, save up for a while and get a REAL tattoo artist to work on ya. You wont regret it
This is were i got the idea from.

There are 11 circle, 10 planets plus our moon. (almost every ancient civilization revered the moon and sun)
And yeah i know its very badly done. it was free soooo its whateva, i have a whole idea for this arm
Ive been training the 10th planet system since 2008, fyi.
Belts do not always reflect ones abillities, especially if you are Ronin. Its great that many are able to train at affiliate schools and become ranked, but there are a great deal of illigitimate badasses reppin 10th planet. You maybe surprised of the skill level of these unranked phenoms and it may change your outlook on rank. It is not easy to become ranked, especially when you are broke and far away from any affilliate. While I agree the tattoo looks like it was drawn on with a black pen, I disagree that rank would be an issue when it comes to ink.
Here is my 10th planet tribute tat. Kinda sucks having it on my back because I never get to see it. Attachment 1665
We've talked about this before. I totally get your reasoning. I feel the same way for myself. I get other people's reasoning too.....Especially now that I'm not going to be able to train consistently at a 10th planet school. It's just some people's way of repping 10th planet for life. Any school I step into from now on, I wanna represent well. And that's probably why I wouldn't get a 10th tat until maybe 2 years into blue/purple because if I'm gonna represent, I wanna represent well...and I wanna make sure I can kick some ass to back up the tat. 8)
I'm glad you enjoy your tat. I think it's cool to rep it. But I also hope you get it touched up in the future. Nice concept, but it wasn't executed too well.
I'm thinking of getting sleeved. I am still trying to work out what to get. I like the planet ideas. I had not thought of that.
Most things it's ok to save money on. A good mouthpiece, ink and brakes are not one of them though. Ever.

I got this right after i turned 18 when i was still a white belt, and i think it was a great decision. If it's something important to you i think you should go for it.
