Got off of house arrest today after 3 years...

I got off of house arrest today after being on it for three years. During that time I was fortunately able to start training BJJ and earn my blue belt. It gave me the time and discipline that I needed in order to get my life together and that's something that I am truly greatful for. In a way BJJ has saved my life and I haven't even been in an actual fight since I began training. I just wanted to send a thank you to everyone on this forum as it has been one of my favorite places to lurk and occasionally post over the last several years, in addition to that I want to thank Eddie because if I hadn't heard Eddie espousing the virtues and benefits of BJJ along with Joe Rogan on Rogan's podcast I might not have started my jiu jitsu journey in the first place. Thanks for everything guys!

Great to hear keep up the rolling...also pretty cool to know guys are actually getting into jiu jitsu because of the podcast and eddie being on there promoting the gentle Art

Exactly! It wasn't that bad I was able to rekindle my relationship with my family, listen to tons of podcasts, play countless hours of video games, read a bunch of books etc etc. Plus they let me leave my house to go to work of course and after 5 or 6 months of being on it they allowed me to leave my house once a week to train BJJ, then it became twice a week, then three times, then finally four times a week near the end of my stint. It was all for the best and it has helped me realize the importance and power of turning negative things in your life into positive ones. Thank you all for the kind words, I really appreciate it!
