I saw this leglock/fucking foot up move on youtube with eddie.
Is this something used only if ur opponent is as flexibel as eddie? I mean is the electric chair part of the setup ? or am I mistaken ?

failed electric chair to stoner control to vaporizer
but when you have the foot on the shoulder you kinda have the chair. just need to stretch ?
not necessarily. some people just won't tap to the electric chair. and if they won't sweep and have good base/defense to the sweep, you have the stoner control option. works really well. i don't see many people use it, but i think it's awesome.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvBhT...eature=channel if you hook the other foot here, something you use for getting the vapo ? seems like a good idea to me (but I dont even listen to my own advise :P )
its just the way brandon explained it. that was lesson one at 10th Planet Hartford for me.
I started exploring stoner control a lot more. I was kind of known for my half-guard and electric chairs where I train, so I thought I'd switch it up. I've tried and hit the vaporizer once in rolling (been out of training for like 4 months or so [school, work, bills] :( ). It's something not a lot of people will see coming.
The vaporizer was something I was doing before the electric chair even came up (look at The Twister dvd, I do it in my first nogi comp) What ended up happening was that dudes were tapping to the electric chair on my way to the vaporizer. I thought dudes were just being paranoid about their flexibility and tapping for no real reason until I finally decided to take a look at the position more deeply and then realized that it was a legit move :)
vaporizer is the shizzzz
i need to put in some reps on it because i tried it the other night and didnt do something right. I use the electric chair alot and normally just go for the sweep if they dont tap. It will give me another option once i get it down.
If I understand the move correctly, you could also pull the foot over ur head (if ur opponent is face down) and climb the back or pull the foot with you and fall down on the opposite side for what I think is called the truck ? and into a twister.
REALLY not sure if this will work. have to try it out myself. never train bjj so Its just my understanding after watching Ari on youtube :P
The lock down used in half guard is not at the same angle as the lockdown in the truck, totally different :)
shutdown :P Well if you let your lockdown go an just triangle the feet would it then work ? also I guess shift your feet since the lockdown uses the outside foot for the triangle
Gonna try out some of it some day and try to film it if I aint getting thru in words :P
