I feel this question betrays my ignorance but, is this open to all experience levels/belts?
Invite only?

Event website or info page coming?
Rules? I was a little surprised to see a heel hook in the 8 man in house tournament.
Thank you for doing this Master Eddie and everyone involved!!
Fuck I can't make 155 if I cut off both my legs...
Why would you be suprised to see heel hooks?
I guess because I've only been learning jujitsu for about 4 months and my impression is that a lot of places don't let you use them while rolling until your more experienced or not at all during training. Seems like many of the rules for tournaments I've looked at don't allow any twisting leg locks until you are a brown or black belt.
I just assumed with an in-house tourney that it was open to all belts so maybe there'd be no heel hooks.
I'm not saying I agree with heel hooks being so frowned upon (truthfully I cant even say they are but its my impression as a newbie) I absolutely don't see why straight ankle locks and knee bars are illegal at any level.
Most tourneys we compete in they are legal. Most Gi & IBJJF tournaments are where they're illegal.
The 8 man you talking about wasn't open to all levels, it was a minimum of blue belt, but most were purple belts. Zach (a ronin and last minute replacement)was the only one not belted, but I believe he had been training about 8 years if my memory serves me correct.
The reason most leg locks are frowned upon is ignorance and lack of knowledge. It's easier to ban them than to learn them correctly, both offensively and defensively. I agree 100% straight leg attacks should be allowed at all levels.
well that all makes perfect sense now. Thanks.
Still wanting that info. ;)
