We should do a Colorado traincation. Who agrees
You should do a traincation in Salt Lake City and go snowboarding/skiing at the 7 resorts within 30 minutes of our gym.
Sounds like an amazing time. Im gonna be on the road a lot early 2013, but maybe in April we can meet in Aspen for a weekend of maddening snow boarding and zero Jiu Jitsu. What do yalls think? :)
Snow boarding sounds scary for some of us seniors. But I'm always down for a Traincation, no matter where. :)
Personal use is legal here in Colorado...dont forget.
It would be pretty sweet to do something on a Fri-Sat, then go up to the slopes on Sun...just sayin.
If we could get enough interest, I wouldn't mind planning this thing out.

I've had near death experiences on snowboards before, i think ill find a warm cozy place to drink in excess and wait for you guys to come off the mountain.
My boy had a similar experience. He is a much better drinker than snowboarder. He too would hang out at the lodge and get shit faced while we were on the mountain.Quote:

With that said, we could always do this full-on and plan something for next year. I can talk to hotels and get all of us discounted rates, find out some cool shit to plan for down-time and for a day or two after the event.
Personally, I'd like to shoot for having it at 10th Planet Boulder- That way we have a good location to train, it'd be good exposure for Drew and 10P Boulder...and if you've been to Boulder, you know how freaking nice that place is. Aspen is beautiful, but it's a fuckin HIKE into the mountains.
Also, I'd say we shoot for a Fri-Sat or Sat-Sun training, then have a day or two reserved for everyone to hang out after.
Like the traincation in Florida I just did, I think we learned a ton just hanging out after the seminar at my house.
15 homeboys in my house was a pain in the ass and smelled like shit, but it was a damn good time.
With a little planning, a conference room could replace my bedroom...and then the hotel staff would have to pick up your fucking water bottles and candy bar wrappers (BOBBY!)

if you all are serious vail is my stomping grounds we have 2 mountains(vail and beaver creek) within 10 minutes of my house, a gym to use all we want and if you gave me time cheap accomidations weed is the easiest part if its in colorado im down tho

around 4-20 is the closing date but its mother nature ive seen hardly any snow and seen 12 inchs on may 17th you never know and yes the gym is huge
This is starting to sound promising... Keep me posted guys. Me and the girls would love to come down. Gonna take up snow boarding this winter and have been looking for an excuse to get to Denver for years.

Lets do this guys! 10th Planet Boulder can hold a decent amount, and if need a bigger place there is Otomi in Parker, CO(who hosted Eddie seminar). Ill hit up Ranulfo(Otomi) if need be. You guys just keep me posted!
