im on the bandwagon as well..
results anyone ??
All I've heard is there were a lot of competitors and a lot of medals.
from sf:
owl took 1st with an owl special, an kimura armbar, and a soul break/darce. 184 blue
i didnt place in my division but got an ameri-triangle first match, arm barred for being stupid in the second ( 135 blue ) and then got silver with a knee bar in the first match and then i had a great match but then got arm barred off an underhook while i had the back. absolute blue
Gibbs ( kinda from philly now ) was a monster in his first match and eventually landed on an arm triangle from lockdown, got knee barred on the bad knee in the second match. 170 blue
Yocum was trading sub attempts for a long while but eventually succumbed to a kneeling over the head kimura. 145 purple
i really dug the vibe at the event.
I know Vista fucking killed it. Sure they had like 3 golds, couple silvers too. :-)
Sounded like a great outing for SF Alex, a lot of wars, i cant wait to come down and train with you hoss's
how did West L.A do?
Owl gooned a fool? ;-)
It was an awesome event. Way too many matches for me to tape all of them. I got quite a few tho, gonna start posting on this thread soon. So many epic matches it was incredible. By far the Gracie Nationals has been the most fun tournament I've ever been too, it was really like 10p Nationals, I'm not sure how many of us showed but it was somewhere in the 50-60 range.
Too many medals to mention right now but the one gold medal that stood out the most to me was 10th Planet Moon Head Ryan Fortin having an epic day taking the purple belt gold. Amazing matches :)
I'm in the process of making a highlight reel, but it's gonna take a bit. :-)
Congrats to all!
we take the team title again?
Yes, we took the team title, it was impossible not to because of the numbers, like I said it was pretty much the 10p Nationals :)
Here's a match Boogeyman put up on his facebook

I'm thinking Rose Gracie saying she loved 10th Planet and publicly thanking Eddie for helping save her grandfather's art was the coolest thing ive seen in a while. Maybe the walls are comming down.
the opening speeches were really fantastic.
heres some spinning around and rubber guard:

Awesome! So proud of everybody. Can't wait to see the highlight reel!!!
Is there any brackets or a competitor list anywhere
Hell yeah! Congrats to everyone who represented 10P.

Scott Stafford 1st place white 170
Ryan Fortin 1st place purple 155
Boogeyman Martinez 2nd place purple 170

Congrats Ryan, I'm hoping to go back through Vista sometime in the next couple months. Hopefully will be able to meet up with and Geo on the mats.
Thank you very much Anthony!

Just wanted to thank the guys at 10th planet Vista Ryan, Kevin, Richie(boogie) everyone there. Super supportive and such a positive vibe all around.
