Ari Bolden and 10th Planet officially and mutually part ways.

Ari has always been super cool to me, he has always been a gracious host while in Victoria for seminars, we had many epic nights partying at the club he bounces at, a grips of big laughs, and just loads and loads of good times up in BC.

Over the years he has dove in head first into the gi game and immersed himself with everything BJJ, and although it's not against 10p policy it has become quite obvious to me that his heart is totally with the gi and 10p has been put up on a shelf in the back corner. I wish him well and hold no animosity towards him, he's just doing what I did back in 2003, just the other way around, peace and love, eddie :)

Eddie and I chatted last night about this. I have nothing for respect for him and the 10th planet peeps. I will continue "to take off the gi" in my career as I love both. If any of you need anything, you know where I am at and I'll do my best to help you out.

Eddie, I want to publicly say "thank you" for much guidance and being a class act. We sure had some fun over the years:) Much success and happiness to everyone.

That forum is absolutely full of dickbags that hate on the 10P system blindly. I post there as StabbyMcHatchet. I see Cody there sometimes too, but not too many other 10P guys.

It's tiresome, dealing with their bullshit, but I stay there because the forum is busy and always moving, so you can always shoot the breeze. I find this forum to be slow, but way higher quality as far as content and attitude goes.
That forum is fast and full of shit while this one is slow and full of gold.

I'm no trying to hijack this thread with gripes about sherdog but relax man. You can't hope to be an internet evangelist of sorts. You have to let those people meet 10th planet guys and learn for themselves that we are legit (and good looking to boot). Don't waste your time, they will pick you apart and make you look bad (even if what they say isnt true), just let them be them. I just like some of the news i get from the site.

Besides the constant 10th Planet bashing on the site, the Sherdog grappling forum is actually pretty good, I'm not signed up, but I browse, they keep up well and always post stuff about the latest bjj info that you dont get on other boards

The UG has a good BJJ forum also, but just not as active as Sherdog

Holy shit that sherdog thread is a read. Im about 3/4 of the way through but havent seen anything about Ari I havent seen before.

You're right.
I feel like I have to be an abassador for 10th Planet over there because of all the shit talk coming from people who literally don't have the first clue about the system.

I take it as a personal insult when they talk shit about it for one reason: Stewart Landry.
Not only is he my instructor, long time best friend, fellow TKD Black belt, and GodFather of one of my daughters, he is also one of the best martial artists I have ever been priviledged to know.

Stew and I have been friends and training together since he was around 13 or 14 years old, so I am way beyond ass-kissing. It's a personal insult to me, because Stew is a top quality martial artist, who already held a BJJ rank under a Gracie Combatives instructor, had around 12 (or more) years of grappling experience BEFORE he discovered the 10P system, yet he still got extremely excited about it and embraced the system.

Stew is fucking legit, period. For him to take in a system with such vigor and commitment, I knew the system had to be equally as legit.
That's all there is too it.

I frigging REMEMBER when Stew discovered the 10P system, because we were working together at the time (Which happens periodically) and I was too busy chain smoking and drinking to care about BJJ, but he was so frigging pumped on 10th Planet that he would visit me while I went out for a smoke break and he would explain mission control and the path forward to me while I sat there and smoked on my break, nodding my head as if I knew what he was talking about.
Man, he was pumped. It was a whole new arsenal he was adding to his already-awesome game.
