i like that a lot, im gonna rep it tomorrow
beautiful!
Nice!
it not bad at all...the tumble is where the problem can arise bc resistance partner wil not go over so easy....
When I see a black belt showing a move and said black belt is a BJJ world champion, I will always think its effective.
That looks like it might be a reasonable entry into Deep Half, but I agree that it looks tough to pull off. While I don't foresee adding it to my game right now, it's certainly interesting.
I always go from "is it effective?" to "is that useful for me?" Of COURSE he can pull it off -- he's a world champion for a reason. The question I so often wonder about vids like this is not so much whether the technique will work at all but whether it's something I can reasonably add to my game. Then again, the original question was "[is it] effective?" :)
yea ...i understand it like if you do that move your a white belt at it until you raise it to a certian level it will not work..lol
Ya I totally agree. I do the same thing.
With that said, I think it could be a great counter. I also wonder if it would be better to hit when the sweeper is more extended on the sweep thus going under him when he is stretched out more. I think if he is still sitting down it could result in being under a person.
I'm gonna play with it for sure. Good post.
Hmmm, idk. In the gi maybe but im picturing the opponent having a tight over hook without the gi. If you can pull it off I think it would make more sense to roll to deep half instead of trying to get to the back. Guess we wont know till we try right?
I would like to play with that idea to counter the Jean Jaques sweep too. Thanks for the post.
roll again for the twister baby
I think this is something that you do when you are practically swept... you wouldn't just go straight to this.
i think this move is the fuckin bees knees and i am going to without a doubt drill drill drill this.
^If I didn't know you, I'd say that was sarcasm...
i'm serious actually, i don't know why i haven't thought of the concept of flowing with the sweep attempt to find a different counter, the idea of this technique is dope so much so that Caio will be doing a seminar at the dojo sometime in january now POW!!!!!!!! and i am serious about the seminar holmes,
I always miss good seminars...
