Im having a very hard time finding grappling around there.
I graduated from LHU and just recently moved back home to Rochester. I know in State College there's a place called Central PA MMA. But making that trip from Lock Haven daily to train could be a pain in the ass. I worked in Bellefonte for a while when I was in school and the commute sucked. That's why I never tried that gym out.
But, I'm sure there's a place to train in Williamsport. There was a kid on the LHU wrestling team who started fighting MMA out of Williamsport. I'm not sure of the name of the gym though.
thanks man, at least they have a boxing team so i can still fight. maybe start a club if i find anyone down.
I think at one point there was an MMA or grapoling club of some sort. But I heard the wrestlers were using it as just extra practice time. Starting a club is easy as long as you can find an advisor. I started a powerlifting club while I was there. Shit maybe you can talk to Eddie about starting a Hotbox there.
Oh. And the dope part about starting a club is you can get funded so they pay your entry fees for competitions as well as reimburse you for gas, pay for hotels, rental cars, and food as long as you include it in the budget. I even used club money to go to powerlifting and strength and conditioning seminars and conferences.
so most definitely look into that.
Nicee!, i'll definately try and make it happen, but good news is theres an mma gym in downtown lock haven.
