Anyone go from New York and than cross your feet?

I'm sure some people do this, I get the hand on the mat and I'm in New York, but guys are quick to try and stuff the foot on the hip and pass or explosive enough and can posture up before you can double bag

I have been just doing this lately, as soon as a get to New York I swing my leg up and cross my feet to control them, kind of like crackhead or the invisible collar, New Crackhead control or Invisible New York, whatever

It just helps me control guys and calm them down before clearing the neck or double bagging

ive just started doing ths about a month ago, i find it a lot easier to get than double bagger, cos of my size. i feel it clinches the opponent down better than either foot on hip or leg curls on the back. also pushes me further to the side so i can get into gogoplata/omaplata more easily.

eddie has made some mentions about rubber guard having a big change in the path and i think that this might be it.

Yeah, sometimes they worry so much about the leg and fight it that you can work the omoplata set up and they almost do it too themselves

New York crackhead is legit.

is it possible to get a kind of meathook going at the same time? im just thinking that you woould want the guy shut down as much as possible while you clear the head and crackhead new york is good but something with the other arm would be that bit tighter, though i dunno if arms are long enough etc. if u had meat hook i could see it helping with a gogo/omoplata attempt because you would follow them more f they postured.

im gunna have to go and see if any of this actually works now :D that is of course unless you fine young gentleman/ladies can shed some light on it for me

Yup, New York crackhead has just changed ALOT in the rubber guard. Like mentioned above, the new set ups and paths from it are gold. The new east coast croc had been hatched, yalls gonna love it, but you must be able to double bag :)

Def legit... In the past I would throw CC up once getting NY just to trap someone and wear them down from their intital resistance once getting NY, but would just use it to hold them until I moved through the path... After the stuffs Eddie and Einstein each showed at the camp I can't wait to get some rubber guard in on the mats... For everyone that couldn't make it to the camp, Im sure everything from the seminar will endup in MTS at some point, but be sure to make it next time becuase it's too much fun to miss!

How about doing the opposite of that, when I break people down sometimes web I fall back and swing my legs up I can lock both shoulders out, either transition to an arm bar right then or go try to get New York crackhead. Kind of do it backwards

That was Einstein's class, Jeremy! Well, he went to mission control first, but same difference really. Then he just kept switching his feet depending on which arm he wanted to attack. The arm you do for is the same side as which foot you have on the bottom. It gives the guy less room to resist. Einstein's class fucking rocked the house. I feel bad for all the guys who had to leave early!

I'm surprised at how many guys I can do that on. When they are coming down to the mat with me their shoulders aren't wide so its usually easy. If I don't get it then i still have a high guard and can go to mission control anyway
