My wife Anette repping Rubber Guard!

Just thought i'd post this clip of my wife and amateur MMA fighter, Anette Kjølstad Nilsen, repping 10p Rubber Guard Techniques. I filmed it at one of my NoGi sessions here in Norway. She is still quite new to 10pjj, so it`s not "perfect", but shes catching on great with the technics, and she has great focus and disiplin in training... all about the reps for now though, but hope you like it! :) Feedback from the awesome 10th planet family will be appreciated! ;)

Def on her way. My advice would be to clean her Kung fu move up and control the far hip or both legs in jiu claw. Controlling one leg like she did will get her reomo'd if her opponent rolls. Good luck.

Thanx!:) And yes, absolutely, told her that yesterday when she wathed the video clips with me at home. :) Went through alot of things she's not been taught before, this session, so did not pick at it right away, just let her try out, get a feel for it... Sometimes it`s actually "good" to let her make small mistakes, and film them the first times so.. Becomes more self reflective and analytical of oneself when watching video afterwards, like "learning from a loss" kind og thing, aa, i should have.... and so on! ;) But like you say, she`s def on her way, and she loves 10p jiu jitsu! :)

Thanx! :) For this, i just used Cyberlink Powerdirector 11 Ultra. Easy to use for fast edit. I`v also used Adobe Premiere and other high end programs before, but dont see the point of using them for videos like this. ;) Enough tools in Powerdirector to make decent videos also.

I'm merely a whitebelt but one thing I always do with the Omoplata is control the elbow at my groin, especially when I am forced to icepick. It works for me and keeps their arm in deep, seems to tighten everything up, but wait to see what the more experienced guys say about it.

I control the wrist, because he is weaker farther from his core. It'll keep the elbow snug in your groin.

Hey where was the Frodoplata? :), nice vid. Get that kung fu move down! Watch the arm between opponents legs in jiu claw, and make sure to work weak side!

Thanx, Eddie! :) Yea, i know, like i posted, i told her yesterday when we watched the clips together. Just filmed Anette and some of the others freeplay with the different technics, just to let them get a feel on them. Picked out some of the clipps of Anette and made this for fun and to show you shes working at it. It was corrected the same day! :) Iv started filming her to help her understand the details. Good way to get the analytical thing going, like learning from loss thing.. She learns fast that way, and the information sticks. ;) Glad you liked the video!! 10P4L
