Botello went against a black belt, had him in the truck but lost 10-6. I haven't seen the match but John told me he was pretty happy about his performance considering he was matched up with a black belt, video coming soon :)
Was the blackbelt Frank from Drysdales?
I covered that division and Botello and Curreri were on opposite sides I believe.
Not sure who John faced honestly. There was definitely an opportunity for him to take the back of his opponent but it was missed. Was a closer match than the score indicates, if my memory serves me correct -- although the score indicates relatively close affair.

Not sure where the guy was from. All I know is he was a lot taller than me.. Then again, everyone is a lot taller than me. Haha!! Someone in the crowd said he was a black belt. If anyone knows different please let me know l. He took my back with a minute left or so. All in all, It was a great time at my new weight of 139. I'll be here for a while. I felt happy about my performance. I see only good things coming from this weight class for me.
It was a good time. The lines were Hellas long, but I will do it again next year.
