I was disappointed with some of the things Vinny said in the build up to this fight. Anthony Perosh is a very legit black belt under John Will. He may not have Vinny's competition record and he may not be Brazilian but that doesn't mean anyone should take him lightly. In saying that, I never thought this fight would finish by Hippo knockout!
We had Antony Perosh training at our place the week of his fight against Cyrille Diabete, you can never write him off he is not a match any 205er should want.
Rani Yayha could well have the smartest grappling in MMA, extremely slick as too was Moraes; both flying the flag for jiu jitsu.
I hope Aldo remains champ long enough to accept a challenge from Connor McGregor, but something tells me is about to get dethroned.
McGregor is the future champ no doubt. I love that guy's outlook on life and he's exciting to watch fight.
I am such a huge Conor McGregor fan, but I love Aldo too. I would hafta root for Conor though..

When I first signed with the UFC again, Joe Silva asked me to give him a list of names of who I would fight immediately. I gave him a list of like six names, and Anthony Perosh wasn't on that list, but he ended up being the guy that Joe contacted first, but Perosh was like, 'No, I don't want to fight Vinny.' He was on a little streak, so I guess, for him, that fight didn't make any sense.
Now, after I lose a fight to a Top 10 guy, I mean, he's nowhere close to Phil's level. It's like he's saying, 'Oh, I want to fight Vinny because he sucks.' I took it personally, because when you call somebody out after a loss, it's like they're saying they want to fight you because they'll beat you up, too.
Vinny's Jiu Jitsu is great, his attitude fucking sucks.
he is overated in my opinion, he talked smack and got put to sleep. He thinks he can walk through a guy like periosh, and underestimated the guys power, he will be cut any day now
Nah I think he gets one more. His first fight back was exciting.

Well Davis has been involved in some stinkers so you gotta factor that in. And this fight was a whole 20 seconds so you cant really judge on that. I really didn't think Perosh stood a chance but this is mma. Give him one more and if he doesn't arise to the occasion I could see justification for a cut.
Before I say this. Understand that I am a big fan of Vinny and it breaks my heart every time he looses. but here goes...
Vinny makes a technical mistake every single time he tries to throw a strike. He had Phil Davis' back, perfect over under seatbelt, no hooks yet tho, and decides to LET GO and throw punches from there. WTF? Davis stands right up. Cost him the fight. I wish I could find a snapshot of when Vinny got hit by Perosh of where his hands were. One was below his waist, by his knee and the other was way in the air, super wide, throwing some kinda loopy punch or something. looked like he was throwing a baseball. It is physically impossible for his hands to be any farther from his face without cutting his arms off and shipping them across the globe. I know Vinny is 10p fam, but I honestly think he needs to be cut. He is a legit ADCC champ. He might should go back to being a pro grappler?
