Some really great stuff, I don't normally use the 2 on 1 standing but I'm definitely going to have to start drilling it more now
So how is any one supposed to get work done with these videos coming out like wildfire. Probably stupid question but when you say Russian 2 on 1 are these from Sambo or Wrestling cause I believe Ive seen a very similar technique in Wrestling , and love the judo techniques into leg locks
Would your opponent/ training partner take his right arm that is free use it and post on your shoulder then turn into you and wrestle Seems like he would just not let it hang there on his thigh while you have the 2 on 1. If his does post as he should then there would be more steps like duck under the post and shoot. Ect.
Watching this video opened my eyes to the fact that there is more to takedowns than just double legs and single legs. I wish I had somebody to drill things that I see here with, instead I have to just watch repeatedly until the technique is drilled in my head and then try and catch it live :/ obviously not the most efficient way of training.
Anyways, I'm rambling. Thank you for the knowledge bomb, Coach Zog!
The video portion on the forum is only 16 minutes long and the training partner never does anything with the free arm. Sorry about my grammar and spelling I am not very good at typing I only know how to do it with 2 fingers...lol
Love the Russian Tie. Thanks Zog
He may not doing anything with the free arm in this video, but theres enough you can do if they do do something with that free arm (such as pushing on your head) to fill up another 16 min video.
So many options off this Russian Tie.
I absolutely address this in the video.
Inside Head Control/Constant Pressure nullifies the effectiveness of the post and rip as long as they can't plant their post leg its worthless. This entire series is based on WHEN they post their outside foot. There is also an entire series that deals with when they are able to plant their feet and post and effectively create space.
AWESOME TECHNIQUE, love the 2 on 1 and the series. Love SAMBO. HUSSIAN HESTLING
Glad you guys dig it
The 2 on 1 will be drilled in heavy rotation with the Norwich Crew. We're still a bunch of lazy, guard pullers, but now we'll have options;)
