I was there that night after he got that promotion and he repeated a few things he said here and added a few others. Like informing everyone there that they have " a legendary lineage". Cool stuff, too bad we don't have that speech as well. But it was my first time seeing this exact video, so nice post :)
I've never even met Jean Jacques. But his overhook and butterfly hooks was a huge influence on my game early on. Definitely one of my all time favorite grapplers. So cool that we follow in his lineage.

Awesome, Eddie deserves it and from one of the best of all time Jean Jacques it reminds me why I love training under Eddie's lineage.

The craziest part of it is when we should up to the JJM seminar he had a huge smile on his face and gave me a huge hug and told me he was really happy we came. I was speachless he is a legend and he was pumped to see his students, students. JJM is amazing and I am honored to be part of this association and to have Eddie as my master! Congrats Brotha!
