Check craigslist. We bought four 4' by 8' folding gym mats for the house for $20 bucks each. It's all about timing though!
It really just depends on how much mat space you are trying to get.
Im shooting for 1000Sq feet.
I found the polyurthaine foam that gracie acadamy uses for pretty cheap now i just need to find vinyl...which is the expensive part
Yea, 1000 is hard to come by for cheap.
Is it safe to assume that the video explains how Helio Gracie invented the concept of training with a mat?
I say train of AstroTurf to see how tough you really are.

Check with the local tournaments in your area. Many times they will have previously used tourney mats from Dollamur or Zebra at a great price.

Stay away from Tiffin, worst customer service I've ever encountered even after spending 20K.

Tiffin have a rep for being super slow and having some (more than others) unhappy customers.
Im sitting on about 1000 ft2 extra of dollamur flexi roll mats... this issue is shipping isnt cheap Let me know what youre willing to pay and we can see how much shipping is
Stay away from Dollamur as they screwed me over 3 times. So bad The owner, Mike Swain, called me to say, "We fucked up" then allowed me to keep the mats they fucked up...(even though they sent more that were wrong as well... I just gave up)
It's easier to line your gym with bodies of your dead enemies. Requires regular cleaning but looks metal as fuck.
