personally i think getting you right elbow tucked to your side is crucial
Does he have the far side underhook or do you?? There are 2 versions of this control...
I agree with Tony. Having your right elbow out exposes you to several submissions. Get your elbow underneath them before you start working for anything. Usually once you get your arm under the escape opportunities will sometimes create themselves. A lot of people get away with gabling their hands to stall for an escape but there are submission options there too.
Could the OP describe what he means By "judo" side control? I have seen alot of different forms of side control, and am curious if something I have seen, or done, looks like, or is this.

yeah i thought about it but its bjj and unfortunatly the twister is illegal but i guess i could just transition to the back or something
