Just got back from Grapplers Quest in London, Ontario. The first ever GQ in Canada. Brought 6 competitors from 10th Planet Montreal and we came back with 5 medals (2 golds and 3 silvers). One of my boys, Chris Bilodeau, hit a beautiful gogoplata to kimura transition. Hope to get the vid up soon. Really proud of my team. Ran into some of our boys from Peterborough and Toronto, as well. :)

Alright boys, I uploaded some videos to Youtube, but these are just the ones from my camera, there are more on an other.
We had to guys fighting at 130lbs and under, Chris Bilodeau and me. Here's what went down.
First fight I went down against this stronger opponent, I pull guard and end up getting a sloppy electric chair sweep and pass to side. And I wanted to conserve energy for the remaining fights and that almost backfired on me, not so great of a fight.

Second fight, I go against this wrestler type guy who just wanted to stall, he was holding me down like crazy, I jaws of life his face into side control, fade going to dog fight and then go for the EC sweep but he holds me down with a darce which isnt choking but is hard as hell to get out of. I apparently don't get any points for side control, and no advantage for the Inverted triangle attempt at the end so This ends up going to OT where he looses points for stalling and I end up getting the nod. Not so entertaining.

I end up in finals where I have to go against fellow 10th planet Mtl teammate Chris, who got this amazing ruberguard to kimura submission 29 seconds into his only match (he got buy first round). We have this back and forth fight where he ends up on top. here it is. Pretty entertaining.

I think Dustin's girlfriend has his matches on her camera. I'm currently uploading my matches, I'll have to ask him about putting up his videos. :D

Nice first match Jeff, the second guy looked quite a bit bigger then you though. Still a good showing of your rubber guard though, GJ.

Thanks guys. I missed weight due to my sauna being busted at school so I went up under 169... He was bigger but I felt stronger. Made a few dumb mistakes in the second one, but whatever.
I think it was the Gracie Barra guys that sabotaged the sauna. :)
