Bryce at Future Fighterz was making custom T shirt for the kids and I happen to ask if its customize T shirt, can he design one especially for Cora. This is what he came up with. I really like it. What yall think??

Bryce wanted to put 10thplanetJJ on top of the rubber guard, but I told him not too. Don't want to get us in trouble with anybody. Besides anyone who is anyone in Jiu Jitsu knows that when people see "rubber guard" it always associate with Master Eddie and 10thplanet without it being said...:)

While you don't use 10th Planet by name using Rubberguard is like using Cokes 'the real thing' slogan or whatever they use now.
Why wouldn't you use Cora's Triangle Queen nickname instead?
I only bring this up because I know Master Eddie has gotten heavily into the merchandise side of things.
wow really? I just ask Bryce to make this design especially for Cora. Not mean to sell it or anything. Bryce made many t shirt for all martial arts such as muy thai, judo, wrestling, etc etc, so happen I thought it would be cool if he customize one for Cora to wear at tournament. Didn't know it was a legal issue with using "rubber guard". The only reason why I didn't go for "Triangle Queen" was it sounds so self promoting. I really think that "rubber guard" was so much cooler and still stick with the theme of what Bryce had in mind, promoting kids martial arts. I won't let him print it if that is an issue.
I'm not the authority here dude, just saying maybe make sure it's all cool first.

Thanks for looking out bro. Yeah I sure don't want to do anything wrong and be put in the dog house again...:) I just think that it will look kick ass when Cora wear this t shirt at tournament. Other than repping 10thplanet techniques, we have no other way to pay honor to Master Eddie in public without hurting anyone's feeling. So I just thought this might be a way to do just that. Its none self promoting, its not disrespecting her gym, and it happen to look so cool...:) AND most importantly, it helps promote kids in martial arts.
Why not just buy a 10th Planet shirt to wear?
Chris you know she been getting a lot of heat for wearing 10thplanet t shirt and rash guard. That is why you haven't seen Cora in anything 10thplanet related. Cora has 10thplanet t shirt from Rachael at 10thplanet WA, and rash guard from Jenn at 10thplanet Phenoix. But due to politics and such, she is not able to wear it... very sad. I also have a 10thplanet hoodie that I bought during our visit to HQ, but every time I wear it at the gym or at the tournament, I get funny looks from the people at the her gym. My wife also bought a rash guard from HQ that is still brand new and she haven't wear it because of this issue. So to kill all that, we only wear her gym t shirts. I also had plan to order a cool rash guard from 10thplanet Chicago, but since this issue arise, I didn't go through with it.Quote:

For awhile now, I've gotten the 10thplanet patch sewed on her pant leg of her blue gi similar to Master Eddie but she was so afraid to wear it. She didn't begin to wear it until her black gi pant had holes in them. So now she wears it everywhere and we are hoping that she won't get in trouble for it. So far so good...:)

I can't believe that a town the size of Houston (or friggin' Dallas, for that matter) doesn't at least have a hotbox! Mike is up in Sherman with a full on Moon but Sherman is still almost 2 hrs from Dallas and like 8+ to Houston. Ridiculousness. ANYwho.... I like the shirt and think it looks sharp. Since it's a one-off from a sponsor it's not exploiting anything so it looks to show respect and support. Hope to see her in person this winter ;-)

You and I both brother. Houston is HUGE and has a big BJJ community that is growing. However, from what I notice is that there are some really die hard Gracie BJJ gyms out here. I think that all of the instructor, although they know about 10thplanet system, are not willing to teach any of that here. I met and spoke to a few of them. I guess that is why I am pushing the envelope when it come to the 10thplanet system and the rubber guard. I met an instructor who was giving me advice about teaching Cora the "meathook" to stop the pass, but yet he doesn't teach his own son whom Cora has beaten many times with the rubber guard. It just puzzles me. He told me that his 18 yr old daughter plays the rubber guard also, but when I watch her fight, she didn't do any of that at all. Confused me even more.Quote:
