No way. This has to be a trick, right?
That wasn't quite a north south choke. Close though.
Bjj is now officially.... a tma
Soaking a block in a bleach solution will make it super weak. Not saying that is what was done, but I've seen McDojos pull that trick with their breaks.
*sigh*
That's another guy from Kentucky...
First the No-Gi rant guy, now this.
(Hangs head)
Alright...that is obviously an older cinder block. It's probably been sitting outside in the weather and has become weak. It's already partially broken, undoubtedly from being old and moved around. We use cinder blocks to prop open our doors where they are in the sun and the rain. After awhile, they become so brittle that they will literally almost fall apart just from picking them up and sitting them back down.
That, or he has specifically went to a concrete plant and ordered first or end run of the bricks which are usually higher sand content. This is what a lot of breaking "experts" do to get breakable bricks.
Most of this dude's video on youtube are actually money. He has some really great footlock tips that are on par with some of the best in the game.
That being said the cinder block broke pretty easy.
seems kinda suspect that he said he had never done this before.....if it really is his first attempt, why he is videoing it and it is very fortunate that he has immediate success. He had a pretty well planned out method for a first attempt as well.
Haha! Awesome!
I'm not sure what to think.
This thread is now full of lols
I wonder what other moves you could break a bleach soaked cinder block doing?
I could totally destroy that cinder block with the following techs- berimbollo, electric chair, go-go, double under pass, a swim move, the teepee(seriously), staring intensely at it indefinitely, knee slice, shoulder pressure(yeahbitch!), and if I even thought of twistering that block I would alter its molecular composition. Probly some form of cold fusion would.. Well there would have to be evacuations and a large crater would mark the attempt. Mass extinction would occur and the world would have to repopulate and reevolve to adapt to the cataclysmic event. So if I do it, I'll def get vid.
I would like to see him do it with another cinder block that I supply from my local masonry supplier in town.
Cinder blocks don't break like that, just shearing in half at the webs from cross-corner pressure. It broke from his body weight pushing on opposite corners. Not legit.
tufted block could be pure diamond. After my twister its gonna be energy materialized. Plasma if you will. Basically a small neutron star radiating from my loins via lotus grapevine and baseballbat control.
Now I'm just boasting, but I'm pretty sure I could knee bar a Prius in half.
this is how the video made me feel,

So much Cranium in this photo. Lol.
How cute.
Ah hell. Another KY dude making us look like assholes. Well, the cinder block thing was silly. The dude is a legit grappler though, at least in his tourney footage. Im actually from KY, my hometown is about an hour from this guys gym. I'm going home this weekend for a wedding and am considering checking them out to get some training in while I'm gone. Not sure I'll make the drive, but if I do I'll let you guys know how it went. Unless he teaches me some iron choke techniques. Then I'll just post some videos of me popping peoples heads off with marcelotines.
Where you from in Ky, Joe?
Just outside Owensboro, or I for damn sure would hit you guys up. I didn't train at the pain factory, but I did get to train with some guys at Nice Guy Submission Fighting in Owensboro. They were legit as fuck. Very glad I got to train with them. They have a couple guys that have competed at ADCC trials and did pretty well. Great gym and people. They also did not recommend the pain factory in the least.
Yep, Joe Baize and his guys are good people. If you're ever in our neighborhood be sure to stop in!
