This was my first time competing in Advanced. There was only one other guy in my division so they did best of 3 matches.

Big thanks to Brandon Mccaghren for coaching me during the matches. :)
Excellent technique! Pro marcelotine! Congrats! :)
You did great Griff. Really impressed :) It was good to see you!
Great job!
Awesome!! Way to stick with that guillotine!!
Smells like blue belt.. haha :)
Griff! That's what I'm talkin bout. Everything is comin together nicely. The transition from the arm in to marcelotine was lightning. I also love how you controlled the underhook for the pass in the first vid. Noticeable improvements. Congrats.
Awesome matches Griffin. That belt is looking a little too white in my opinion. :)
griff (the crime dog), GREAT fucking job keeping that elbow high. beautiful
Great matches! Quick too. Those are the best! :-)
Awesome job Griff. Your technique looked spot on and I was surprised you didn't get the tap earlier. Your opponent looks like he has a small neck, I wonder if that was why you had to chase the Marcellotine?
Sometimes with people with skinny necks, I alter my grip and reach deep onto my forearm to make the Marecellotine tighter.
Thanks Scott! :) He did have a small neck. Typically when I lock up the marcelotine, it's over fast or at the very least I can hear them choking but not with this dude. I'm really not used to rolling with guys my size, I'm the smallest guy at my gym. That alternate grip sounds very interesting. Guillotines are my favorite so I'm always excited to learn a new variation. Do you video of it? I'd love to see it if so. :)
Great work Griffin!
