MTS 68 "Polishing Warm Ups F" is now live!!!

MTS 68 is now live! This episode is all about mastering warm ups F "BUTTERFLIES". Our grand master Jean Jacques Machado is among the best if not THE best at the butterfly guard game and his legendary style is all over this episode along with Marcelo Garcia's epic 2 on 1 butterfly game. Of the 8 warm up series, one series, no doubt had to be dedicated to this crucial part of the guard game. The butterfly guard is the glue that holds the lockdown half together with the rubber guard. Sticky, strong, super spring-like butterflies are VITAL in the 10p bottom game system. In this episode I break down the 4 flows that made it into the warm ups including the 2 most important mount escapes that I attached to each flow on the endings, including quite possibly the most important mount escape in the system, the JJ mount escape. Marcelo's 2 on 1 game has now become a strong part of my personal game, I'm absolutely loving it. It's a fantastic game that I now alternate with my black mamba/bear trap style of 1/4 guard. After hitting these warm ups on a consistent basis your overall game will improve vastly, the butterfly game is one of the most important aspects of the entire game of Jiu Jitsu. I thought it was so important, I showed a few parts in class last night for the first time! Very important episode indeed!

I started doing that Flying twister roll a few days ago when someone goes mini stomp on me. Pretty smooth. Cool to see a higher up doing something similar

Just finished watching it and have over 2 pages full of notes. These warm ups are genius. Even with Cora's gym, there isn't such thing. I always try my best to figure out what the curriculum is that they have for her, but without something like the warm ups its almost impossible. With these warm ups, I can help link techniques for her and she can actually see the transitions. The hard part for me is timing. I'm trying to find enough time for these warm ups, then a certain 10thplanet techniques. And also find time to help her with the traditional JJ...ie spider guard and other Gi techniques. All of this is done after she is done with her homework and before she go to the gym...:)

Great Butterfly instructional, even better for the warmups. Like the breakdown of the footwork required for the butterfly hooks while sweeping. Like that guy Brian said in the other thread, I am very impressed with this curriculum. This is a huge advantage for students that do basics like this. Eddie Bravo is right, no other BJJ association has this system and can match this number of reps. Very scary.
