3 day 10th Planet Event

I've been involved with multiple seminars and conferences some martial arts some not. The 10th Planet cruise is an awesome idea but why can't we also plan some sort of multi-day 10th planet retreat/event at HQ (or else where). It could be set up like UFC fan expo with Eddie and the BBs doing the main spots. In a focused event there would also be ample space for multiple brown belt seminars or even give an assortment of moon leaders (who would not usually do seminars) a chance to contribute and "strut their stuff". In truth you could have workshops in any area of training and competition limited only by the imagination and skills of those involved. I was a part of something like this in a Federation years ago and it was very powerful both in education and team building. We're almost at the point now where you could plan East and West coast events but HQ might be a good place to start. It would be very cool to have all our brothers and sisters in the same place at the same time, not to mention showing the curious, the skeptics and the haters what we can do when we come together as a family

Someone at HQ would need to champion it and cooordinate with the big dogs time and place then see how much buy in we get from moon dogs and independents. As we get a better idea of who /when and we can make a final desicion on venue and workshops. I would say looking 6m to a year out. HQ would make it simple and cost effective but if it were big enough you could look at Vegas but then you need to worry about location. Maybe a hotel or even partner with a 10p friendly gym there. As with anything lower cost = more people.

SIX FLAGS! YES! But the only good Six Flags is in Atlanta. That settles the location question. I'm willing to organize this thing, Eddie.

Eddie would have final sign off on everthing. We're talking about 12-14 hours of training and instruction and 15-20 seperate workshops and miniseminars over the three days. A full 10th planet emersion with it's allstars. Sounds like the making of a very cool dvd. You can do as many or as few of the workshops as you want but if your all in there might not be a lot of time for rollercoasters. Everything would hinge on Eddie and his senior leaderships schedules but it can be done. This would be a chance for all the moons to come together at the source. if we go with HQ cost will be lower and there is still a lot of things to do in Hollywood on your down time.

I'm all in, this would be very bad ass! "A full 10th planet emersion"!

I would love to be able to go to an event like that. It would be a great way to get to know a lot of 10th planet people, and of course to see a lot of great fighters and what they have to say.

Eddie's schedule is crazy but hopefully when the time is right we can all pull together to make this thing happen. Eddie's done so much for all of us it would be cool if we all stepped up a little more to help the organization grow.

I'm down for a "10th planet world convention". Vegas would be cool, but might be more expensive for us east coasters, and might prove to be hard rolling the day after a hard night of partying and drinking. Would really be cool to set it up on a weekend with a scheduled ufc fight too. lots of options to consider while trying to keep it affordable. Definately would help to try and get a travel company to scout for discounts and best pricing, maybe group rates.
