I fight so hard to get to the mount, but when I get there, I feel like my arsenal is limited. I usually go for the arm triangle, gangsta lean to slow triangle, arm bar, or ezekiel choke.
But when the opponent is over defending, it's hard to get them to open up. What are some high percentage set ups/subs you guys go for? Sorry if this thread has been over done.

I usually go for head and armpit control and get the arm triangle. In my last competition I submitted a guy that way.
Arm triangle, slo triangle, Americana and inverted arm bar is what I'm after. But first I like to smash and wear my opponent down with his arm jacked up to his ear. Lately I've been going to double under hooks from the mount, I know it sounds weird but I'll go over it in an episode of mts :)
Chopping Block to Arm Triangle, Slo Triangle, The Aoki Armbar from S-Mount.
As soon as I am in side mount, the moment I get the under-hook on his arm I'm thinking I should finish. Usually its arm triangle or Americana to arm triangle and if that doesn't work I'm on to working spider web from the under-hooked arm, hugely disappointed when I don't finish from getting under-hook
I have been on the receiving end of that double under hooks from mount. It's legit and very annoying for the person on bottom. I've been working on incorporating it into my game now too :-)Quote:

Arm triangle. Used to be crawl out to an arm bar but I lost a match because of it so now its back down to arm triangle and its working like a champ.
High mount to Kimura grip to armbar. That's my money move from mount. Your grip break has to be solid though if you want a quick tap.

I call mine a Punch Choke, but I bet it's something really similar. It's like an Ezekiel variation with my knuckles. I've made it work against every belt level.Quote:

I like to bait them and give them the underhook and then get a mounted gogo or mono on them and then bail into a Rubber guard gogo or omo if it fails. if thats not working ill go for a slow triangle or play with spider web. im just playing around with stuff until i feel like ive really found an underhook attack from mount that i really like.
Armbar, Americana, Arm Triangle, S-Mount Transition
I usually attack his left arm with a slo triangle first. If he defends by turning to his left I like to go for the gogo. If that fails I go to an armbar on his right arm. If none of that works and hes t-rexing hard, ill start working to get into the chopping block for the arm triangle.
i normally go for the arm triangle,americana or a gogopolata (sp)
Cobra control to triangle
Arm Triangle or Brennan roll to reverse spider web and finish with a kimura
Sgt Slaughter to the back. Not really a sub but it puts me in a better dead zone for myself
I usually feel like I have more kill potential from side control. I guess that just means my mount is poor, but I'm rarely in kill positions at all when rolling with blue belts and up. I'll drill arm triangles and see what happens.
Head and arm pit to chopping block to arm triangle. If they telephone and I can't catepillar, I'll try for the one-armed americana from there. If all that fails, bait them to take 1/4 guard or 3/4 mount and roll to the truck.
I go for Chopping block / arm triangle
First because if I fail I'm still in mount. Next movie is s mount to armbar. If they turn away I go into cobra control. Either go to spiderweb or take the back. If all in failing in mount I will dismount to side control by swinging my leg over their head side. They usually turn in and I can dive my arm deep for a Japanese neck tie or darce.
