Curious what plp's thoughts are on the Rubix Cube? Was this developed by 10th planet members? Does this have a place in Eddie's new book? Is it Advanced Rubber Guard Techniques? Does anyone teach it or use it personally in our 10th planet schools? What drawbacks does it have? I would post a video of it but I'm really computer dumb. Hence no profile picture lol. If someone posts a video that would be great, I know there are some on youtube.

Wow, love the setup using the pump from mission control to meat hook! Going to play with that today in training.
I used to use the rubix cube and the stock way more often before my acl surgery... It's another useful tool if you got the numbers in...
I had ACL surgery too and got all my flexibility back. Keep streaching it is possible to get it all back :D
I love the rubix cube. I usually hit when the guy in my guard reaches back to open up my guard, I trap the arm and throw up a triangle. I love that combo. Sometimes I'll go to puppet master but the triangle is right there so I usually go with it since I'm more comfortable with it. You have a lot of control in the puppet master and it's effective since most people have never seen it let alone been in it however hitting the triangle off rubix makes more sense if you have a good triangle. Why prolong the match when you have the finish right there.
I get it until they know i'm lookin' for it. wrist control off the hip bump to pyramid is a great time to catch it. I've had rubix with no sub before. Both arms were trapped, pathetic.
Damn! That would be heart breaking to have rubix and not sub them.
They were very strong good tech and up a couple weight classes. You had to bin there
I believe Jeff barney and those guys at 8th Street Gym in Colorado came up with the puppet master stuff. I haven't had to much experience with it myself though. A guy I train with showed me a cool transition to P.M. that's not in the videos, from bottom Judo Side control. When you're on bottom JSC, hook your foot over his hip to try and bait him into reaching back to pull it off and if he does you trap his wrist with your hand and hook your foot through his arm, then sweep him over to put your self on top.. you know what to do from there. No name for the transition though, any thoughts? Its basically like the riddler transition from the back.
I would say this is my favorite guard to use. I didnt even know it had a name until a couple days ago when i posted a thread on here about it, but I use it probably equally as often as i do the rubber guard. But i also have been working with this guard more than my other guards so that might be why im more confident there. im pretty excited to see what new moves come from this. From so far the only moves ive had high percentage success with from there are the bicep crusher, neck crank, taking there back, and sweeps. I cant wait to see it develop more
