I really want to try this! It looks like it would be really evil in the gi.
I'd also like to look up what a bomboclat is but I'm at work and have no idea what I will see when I search for it. ;)
awesome technique! I will definitely use this one, I have a lot of trouble passing guard.
Great details on an old classic pass. I learned a couple great new details for myself. Thank you Magnus.
hit it tonight in class, thanks man!
Told you it worked fine:-)
Great work Magnus!
IRIE!! They no nutting of dat bomboclat pass...ting works erry time respect be to JAH! Halie Salassie!
Thank you Magnus, I can see this going into my regular rotation :D
One of my instructors taught us this pass but I've never been able to use it. You gave a few really important details that I think will change my success with this pass. Excellent break down man!
This is super similar to the pass Denny showed Josh and I when we were out in San Fran last year. The detail was an excellent refresher. Thanks Magnus
Going to drill this with my crew tonite thank you sir
Really great details in this pass, thank you! I would be really interested in what you're favorite submission pathway is with the arm trapped behind the back.
I love trapping the hand like that! I call it the Joe Friday pass, because he used to do it to me all the time.
Once I trap the arm I like to pop down into a Tozi Pass and then transition to a North/South choke. In fact, that's the only time I ever use the N/S choke.
Yeah the Tozi Pass (San Paulo Pass) is excellent! The only proplem is that these 10Pjj guys is so fricking flexible that is a risk to get caught in a Omoplata:-). I will show the another way I call "Mestre path" itīs a really good way to submit the person if you know they are looking for the Omoplata.
now I have the Bomboclat to reverse Tozi pass to kimura..could be good checking this first
Not sure if there is anything really here but at 3:26 when you pass both legs, I pass only one leg and throw a topside lockdown and then roll them on top of me for the finish similar to your Bomboclat pass to reverse Tozi pass (to kimura)- "VIDEO"
I can hit that regularly on other guys my level once I trap their hand but don't have any higher level people around to try it on.
This move is even easier to pull off with the Gi. My go to when I can't stand to break open the guard.
