"The Nevada State Athletic Commission has reportedly banned any and all TUE’s for TRT in their state.

In other words, a lot of UFC fighters can’t fight in Vegas while using Testosterone Replacement Therapy. And that’s effective immediately.

Vitor Belfort will not be able to use his traditional treatment in the UFC 173 main event against Chris Weidman, Vegas resident Frank Mir will no longer be able to fight in his hometown and several other fighters like Dan Henderson and Ben Rothwell will also have to put Nevada on their blacklist.

The question here is, what will the rest of the world do? Nevada is often considered the gold standard for a sanctioning body and that means that most states tend to follow their lead.

Is TRT about to be a thing of the past?

I personally like a high on TRT, god-fearing Vitor Belfort and a near 50-year old Hendo H-bomb! This is no doubt a major blow to some of our favorite athletes in the game today, but is it a step in the right direction?"

I guess I read somewhere that Dana Jumped on the bandwagon with banning it as well from the UFC... I feel like we're gonna see alot of guys moving weight classes.

No big deal. The fighters will take EPO, HGH, etc.. Its not like they're getting Olympic level drug testing.

Also, Todd Duffee physically looks like in his appearance (read up on the side effects) he has been on HGH etc since he was like 15. To get a TUE at 24 basically all but confirms it. Seriously a TUE at 24. That is ridiculous. :)

Brazilian commission decides to follow NSAC's lead and ban TRT exemptions, but will still allow Dan Henderson to fight Mauricio "Shogun" Rua with an exemption for their bout.
