So this is the deal. I have been invited to Battle 4 The Ages this month in Dallas Texas. I have been looking at film of my competition in my group. So this is question, would it be unethical for me to post the videos to have my 10th Planet brothers and sisters help me find weak points and build my fight plan for each? Of course I would exclude any 10th Planet fighters who may enter my division from this war room brainstorming.

I don't think that would be unethical at all. It's all about learning from each other.
Conner: my advice, since we been there already, just work on your game. Don't really have to study anyone's game. Stick with what you do best and that will work. Its an 8 man bracket and at this time, you don't even know what the bracket look like yet, so what you going to do, study all 7 guys? Also you be very lucky to find any decent video of any of those boys. The only boy I know of and one that you can find video for is the Winner from last time Austin Oranday.

I got an 8 woman in April. Stop studying their game. Get a game plan..stick to it, then go out there and enforce it. If you over obsess over what they're gonna do, you won't enforce your game plan. Look at how they enter..like Marcelo does, and let that be it! :-)
I don't think its unethical, however if it was me I'd spend more time tightening my own game to make sure there is no holes rather than thinking about what someone else thinks they're going to do. Plus if you watch enough movies, you see that when you know what to look for, its the searching for it to preempt it that causes it to go into effect. but that's just my 0.02c
Connor that's what your team is for! :) I do agree with most in regards of just go out there and play/execute your game. But at the same time it is valuable to know what your opponent's go to subs are so you can be aware of them during the match. For example, if you know your opponent has killer guillotines you'll be a little more cautious about sticking out your neck. You won't necessarily be changing your game, but you will be increasing your awareness. Train hard, fight easy...good luck buddy!

I disagree with not studying film. Like smokey said, they may have "Go To" moves that merrits a heads up. However focusing on your game should be the priority.
If I have footage, I'm definitely gonna study it. To me it'd be crazy not to do so.

I only had 1/2 day of school today so I have been watching film for a couple hours. I'm clad to see coach Zog is with me on this. I watch films all the time. Especially for my MMA matches. I don't obsess about it for sure, but I look to see what my opponent likes to do. Than I make sure he can't do it on me. It is a mental war more than anything because nothing throws you off your game quicker than not being able to execute what you like to do. The only way to do that is get in his head and watch what he does. I do not post my MMA fights and JJ matches anymore. I haven't in almost a year. I'm not changing my game to fit their style, I'm learning their style to make them fight my game. I will be the ring master in this circus!!!
So I want to post videos of the guys in my bracket, I would like you guys to post what your thoughts are on them and if you were going to roll with them, what you would be cautious of and what you feel may be an opening for a certain move or tech.
I will not share my thoughts or how I plan on working or rolling with any of these guys. I will keep my game plan to myself. But since I have no coaches who can make the trip to Dallas with me, I want to use all of my resources of my 10th Planet family. I have the best coaches in the world right here at my disposal. I also do not want to use the kids names. Just comment on the films with out calling the kids by name, just cooler that way I think. So go!!!! Personally I dont even look at who is in my bracket. I tend to over analyze everything and it just stresses me out. I have a much better lead up to the tournament not even worrying about it.
