I think we all have experienced this...
After UFC 1 we jumped on the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu bandwagon after the techniques were displayed in a manner that showed they are effective.
Smile slap hands and teach.... That's the best part about Jiu-Jitsu it WILL eventually defeat the EGO sometimes it takes 20 minutes... Sometimes it takes a decade. =)
Awesome. I'm a give you some constructive criticism though. Let's not call them bandwagoners. Let's call them new believers. At one time they doubted. Now they believe. Take em in with eagerness. We have an army to grow brother. The more recruits the better.
I don't care if you hated it for your whole life and want to learn electric chair while on your death bed. I'm just glad they're finally interested. Know what I mean?
I personally saw that one of the female grapplers at my club began using lockdown more again (earlier she did a mix of half guards, then did Lockdown, and then started making up her own half guard after some people began passing/smothering it). After metamorsis III I saw her use just lockdown again at practice and even trying to control the other leg for a sweep. It brought a smile to my face.

Most of us moon heads have seen an increase in intrest after Metamoris. I welcome those "new believers" in with open arms so I can strangle the fuck out of them :)!
Many people have eloquently expressed that we should welcome all new interest and not be smug, so I won't repeat that. I will just say that we should also not discard the lessons of the past which have already demonstrated effectiveness. I'm talking about the deep half, z guard, traditional half, open guard, etc. The lockdown is not the 10th Planet gospel; an open mind is the 10th Planet gospel. As Bruce Lee said, "when one has no style, he can fit in with any style."
