My wife watched her first Jiu Jitsu match on Saturday...

My wife, the sweetest, nicest lady you will ever know has always shied away from combat sports in general. But this weekend, that changed when she watched the rematch of Eddie Vs Royler.

She knows absolutely zero holds, grabs, "positional" names, advantages, rules, or the difference between Royler and Eddie. When I asked her who she thought won, she said quite broadly, "Obviously Eddie completely dominated the fight."

When shown the news about what a few members of the Gracie Family have said and done, she replied "They are delusional."

...Just thought I'd share that :cool:

I don't know if I would say 'The Gracie Family'...A few of the Gracies but not all =)

That's awesome though, For one it's cool as hell to have a girl interested in JJ but I'd say it speaks volumes that an uneducated eye could tell who was in control.

Thats awesome! My wife has seen some MMA & JJ matches before but she had never seen Eddie do his thing! You should of seen her she was jumping up and down screaming dropped her beer! She didnt care! It was beautiful! So proud of Eddie and what he has done damn man I cant even explain it in words!
