soon to be 10th planet AA :) GO BLUE
10th Planet Beaumont has a university that has a class that teaches some rubber guard and lockdown game. It's a "martial arts" class but we basically do 10th planet. :). You can take it as a PE credit. Also theres a club on campus that Barncat teaches some basics and fundy"s and rep some core moves. Hard to find an entire classroom made for grappling, filled with zebra mats on campus at most colleges.. And of course, right down the street is 10p Beaumont! Which has an eddies bravo seminar this weekend, btw. :)
I guess it depends on what you are going to college for?
West LA is a 10 minute drive away from UCLA.

10th Planet Chicago is close to Loyola, Northwestern and DePaul. The University of Illinois at Chicago isn't far either. In the area, but still further yet are Northern Illinois University, University of Chicago and many smaller schools.
10th planet Bethlehem, we are surrounded Lehigh ,Muhlenburg, Lafayette, Desales and Moravian all within 15 min and not much further from the Philadelphia collection of higher education.
Rochester is surrounded. Univ of Rochester, R.I.T., MCC, Nazareth, St. John Fisher and a few others within 30 mins.
Lehigh grad here, right down the street from 10P Bethlehem!

10th Planet Eugene has the University of Oregon. I hear they have a pretty decent football program.
10th Planet Phoenix is 15 min from ASU
Boulder, for sure. You got CU, including DU and Metro in Denver, plus some Art schools, etc. The job market there, and in Denver, is pretty good too.
10th Planet Portland is convinenlty located in SE Portland near my alma mater Reed College.
We produce more Ph.Ds than the Ivy's per capita. Fuck yea expensive and useless degrees I'm gonna train martial arts my whole life! Actually if it wasnt for being forced to take PE credits in college, I might have never found BJJ.
10th Planet Seattle is pretty close to UW.
Oh wait, there is no 10th Planet Seattle. :(
I have to mention the Downtown LA HQ. It is less than ten minutes by train from the USC campus. I started jiujitsu about the same time that I started graduate school, and I only got into it because of some fellow USC students. White Devil (purple), Tony Kim (purple), Dustin Shaw (brown), and Chris Sablan (purple?) were all attending USC alongside me, and they dragged me to jiujitsu because they thought I might be good at it. Much love. And, of course, you can't beat Eddie as an instructor. In our system, we are incredibly fortunate to have so many brilliant detail-oriented teachers, but Eddie is one of the most naturally gifted teachers I've ever seen. Except for his almost compulsive shit-talking about the Gracies, I mean.
Ken, what you looking to study? This makes it much easier to narrow down the best fit. Tons of good gyms around major universities.
I was going to mention HQ/USC, but I noticed Ken was asking for moon locations.
what is the best California college/10P combo?
UC Berkeley and drive the 30 mins (Moderate Traffic) to 10PSF across the bay. Or Stanford and drive the 45 mins to 10PSF (Moderate Traffic)... As someone who doesn't know the area that would interest me if I was looking to move out to California and go to school.
I can't speak on the quality of other schools but as far as engineering goes Lamar university (next to 10th Planet Beaumont) is one of the to engineering schools in Texas. It's where I got my B.S. in industrial engineering. Like Scott said, it also has a martial arts class that teaches 10th Planet friendly stuff as a P.E. Credit, it has a university club that I still volunteer at that was our original hotbox location. It has a HUGE following of 10th Planet practitioners on campus for that reason and it's super easy to find rides to the gym from campus to 10th Planet (and back to campus), find someone that wants to rep 10th Planet techniques with you, workout at the on campus gym or whatever else your looking for. Basically what I'm saying is it's got a great engineering program PLUS the MOST 10th Planet friendly community of any college I've ever heard of. Over 80% of my students right now go there.
