Competed at Sub League Qualifier 1 yesterday. Had 2 10th Planet heads in my division. One of them being Phil Schwartz of 10th Planet Portland. That was def my favorite roll of the day. It was our first time rolling too.

This is Brett Smith. He was representing 10th Planet as well which made it confusing when they were calling match ups.

This was my first match and its against Nick. I was pretty much in a bad position the entire time and at the end he got my foot. Ive jacked my ankles up in the last however many tournaments I wasn't being stubborn with this one. It was tight.
have you hit wrist-locks from that position before?
Been hitting them from Jiu Claw but not as much from that Carni position.Quote:

Do you ever use wrist-locks when people are defending the armbar?
I still have yet to get those regularly. With their hands clasped to defend the armbar, I can't collapse the wrist like I want to. The grip seems strong. I'm sure there's just a small detail I'm missing. I'm still a white belt in wrist locks so I have a long journey to go in learning them.Quote:

Ive gone against Mark before and he choked me really quick the first time. He put me in a bad spot early as I was going for a ham sandwich but I managed to fight out.
