Ok this is the last one I promise. Cora fought 9 kids today, lost to only 2, a 12 yr old boy that won her divisions and a 120 lbs girl in the challenge mat that I don't even know how old she was. Cora challenged everyone of the boys in her divisions and beat them all. So she is the 2nd best kid in her 80 lbs div. Forget bracketing!!! This boy won 2nd place in her div due to bracketing, but see how she settle that issue?

Nice and its good to see a little top game
So awesome! So much fun to watch!
Cora putting in the reps live with her Electric Chair! Awesome! :)
Can't wait to see Cora win her first world title using her Rubber Guard game.
yes bro, there are many little details we need to work on. Its just the beginning and I'm lovin it. I see this can be HUGE for her game. As you can tell she was getting better and better as the day goes on. :)
I didn't get to see her earlier matches, but the ones I saw were damn impressive. She steadily finding her game;)
Awesome stuff. Nine matches in a day is badass!
She fought 9 kids, 10 matches total. She lost to the same kid twice. A boy that is about to turn 13 with 5 years of wrestling. But afterward we stood there and challenge everyone of those boys that medaled...:) Its not about the medal, its about finding your place in the world...:)
Here is a video Cora and I made today.

Wow, she's grown a lot. I remember watching the video Eddie was talking about, good to see she's still kicking butt.
That video compilation was sick. Her skills have seriously developed recently, it's great she's getting in all these battles.
Holy Jesus that was insane. Cora's lockdown half is finally to the point where she is not allowing her opponents to play their game, none of those dudes did anything but defend, that's what the black mamba/bear trap/LD game does.
Keep drilling the mini stomp, electric chair sweep and the electric stone sweep. She hit them all nicely but she can tighten it up some. I was so impressed with her lockdown that I almost missed the fact that she hit an east coast croc from muddy waters.
I am so proud of her and Jacob, these kids are proving the effectiveness of the system. More more more please :-)
Credits go out to you master eddie for having a system that is so simple to understand. If a guy like me can get cora to understand the system, its a perfect system. I always brag to my friends about this beautiful system, even though they see it in Cora's game, they still hard headed. We only been working the lockdown game since your seminar in Beaumont, can you imagine how it will be like 3-4 more months from now? Im super excited... thank you once again.
I just watched the 1st video. Very impressed that she's playing lockdown with so much conviction. I would suggest that she doesn't let go of the leg so easily and resort to body locking. If she can stay on her side and the leg is there, she should hold on to the leg. I might be making a lockdown vid in the near future with some helpful tips for Cora. But man, I'm definitely a fan.
That first one looked eerily similar to Eddie vs royler 2 lol
i remember i think it was scott yokel saying that she might want to work for a takedown before pulling guard. and thats the main thing i saw here. cora has such a beautiful bottom game that she goes there too instinctively, there was one part in the 3rd match i think where she could have gotten at least top half if not mount or 3/4 mount but instead she pulled him on top. i really think that her takedowns could be her weakness atm.
i mean everyone seems to be aware of her bottom game so much they pull guard themselves. so thats the second part. i saw her freeze a wee bit when she was in standing guard. there were knee slices available as well as m1's etc and she missed out on them.
third part is working on just keeping top. i know her opponents are bigger than her but i still think she gives up on top too easily and while losing by points isnt the end of the world. i think she gives points to them unnecessarily sometimes. maybe sometimes in practice just work on getting mount and staying there.
i know thats all pretty critical, coras still a kid sure, but shes an elite competitor and so im being really picky. great rolls, her lockdown is much nicer but like louis said i think she gives up the leg too easily. in saying that, thats still jsut getting to know each position more and understand where she can stay and rest and where she needs to explode. If it helps, i always think of shooting my entire shoulder through instead of my arm. it just makes it so much deeper. the other thing i noticed is that she doesnt twist the leg in the electric chair and i believe this is one reason why she finds it hard to keep it on her shoulder. once again she has smaller shoulders than most people i see do it so maybe thats all.
i really liked how she went for the electric chair sweep a couple of times, she couldnt get it so she switched to stoner control and got it from that. having that instinct will translate beautifully with going to the back or truck. and her transitions are so just soo snazzy. beautiful stuff
As always great job Cora and some great advice in the thread! :)
She did a great job!
Have you guys played with Plan B or the Boa much? Good paths to play with based on what she can already do.
thanks bro. you are correct, wrestling is her weakest game. Although she does have wrestling skills, she hardly ever use them as most of these boys have years of wrestling experience. There are so many aspects of her game that need to be work on and that is a good thing because she is still young. But as far as this past tournament goes, our objective was to go straight into the same game as master eddie in Metamoris. That's what she trained for since Master Eddie seminar in Tx. She had 10 matches with 9 kids and the first match she got destroyed trying to go for that game plan, but the more she roll the more confident she became with this game and it was looking good by the end of the day. So for 3 wks of work, not too shabby. We will continue to work on this game, polishing it up. I'm even looking for a wrestling club for her to join also.
If you have the Rubber Guard books they're detailed in there. Plan B is a great option when whatever you're using for plan a' gets shut down. Get with someone who's good with the dogfight position to make sure Cora can make it miserable. I've had fellow blue belts tap just from the dogfight squeeze because they didn't know it was coming.
Yes I have both rubber guard book. Will look into it. Also dog fight squeeze?? I thought it was just a sweep and pass? I really need to look into it mow. Thanks again bro.
