Stopping the knee slice

This should be quick. I'm trying to find the MTS where Eddie breaks down how to stop the knee slice. I'm a bit embarrassed to admit this, but I've been getting killed with the basic knee slice lately. A year layoff has damn near emptied my memory and ruined my muscle memory. I block the knee, but I get a mental block there. And these guys at Brazilian Top Team are monsters with it. So at first, I'm good, but then when I freeze, they do what they gotta do and cut straight through.

Should I be looking into the mini stomp?

Help a brother out....with minimal mocking. ;)

Would rather work on my series......and I know you're joking....but that's not that bad of an idea. One of the black belts did it to me when I almost hit HIM with the knee slide. Haha. And then I mentally froze. Again. Hahah. Can't wait for my muscle memory to come back.

Ehhh, I think it's a great Idea, but only because I work with guys that invert every time they feel uncomfortable. Otherwise, it's all Warm ups E. I feel like E is still pretty ahead of the game. Too many guys will play the lame passing and if they ever get to your 1/4 guard all you see them doing is kicking at your knee lol. I have only rolled with ONE black belt, and he is widely considered a fake, so count your blessings lol

I'm really embracing the quarter clinch and Warm Up Series E game the last couple of months. The higher level guys are still finding their way through it but I'm having good success with guys at my level.

The 1/4 game I specifically play (been calling it bear trap) is very hard to play if your knees are slippery/greasy.

Wear knee sleeves, cotton tights or pants. Also, wear ankle sleeves. Slippery/greasy feet weaken the lockdown.
