men vs women

Ok.. I KNOW this will probably lead to people getting offended or me being labeled sexist, but i was just talking to my sister and mom about this (who are both big into "a woman can do anything a man can do") but we were talking about the UFC and how it doesnt have a womens division, and i told her it was because there arent enough really skilled girl fighters and that its not as entertaining. (thats not the questions so dont worry about arguing over that point, im sure some find it more entertaining). But she was saying that if you get good women in there they could compete with the guys... I'm not buying it. I'm not sexist, but i do know men and women are built completely different. And physically, men tend to be stronger/faster than women on average. so my question.. does anyone think top level females could compete (and win) against top level men. Lets just say in either MMA or Jiujitsu. For instance lets take the top 3 men in any weight class, and put them against the top 3 women in the same weight class.. does anyone think that any of the women would beat the guys (and before we get into "well everyone can get caught"..lets just say they all go at it 10 times with plenty of rest between and do best out of 10). also i feel i should mention that i am in no way saying women arent as technically good, in fact i feel women have some natural advantages in jiujitsu, But add the natural advantages of mens strength, speed, and benefits of testosterone.. i just cant agree with my family on this one.

Gina Carano would beat any man by submission in the first round.. The pain of their erection against the cup would be too much...

Ha ha ha I've had these conversations so many times over the years with girls who believe that sort of stuff as well. In my humble opinion they are utterly delusional.

Time and time again the women who come out with this stuff have little to no understanding of the enourmous differences in our biology. As I understand it Men have more layers of skin then women and typically have a much stronger upper body. Thats not even taking into account the height and weight advantages.

Think of this way Frank Mir is billed as 6'3 and weighed 245lbs for his 2nd fight against Brock Lesnar. Now I think we can all agree that Frank has a far superior striking game to Lesnar and was known for having the best ground game in the heavyweight division. So skill wise he was another level. Yet Brock completely overpowered him and battered him to a KO. In that case skill was irrelevant and size and strength prevailed. This is how it would be in most men vs woman match ups in my view and lets face it how many women have the same physical attributes as as Mir?

lol it must of been on Youtube at one point but it's not there now but I saw this video years ago of this 6'2 Russian girl Boxer and skill wise she looked very good. However she claimed she would have murdered Mike Tyson in his prime and thought she could easily beat lots of men at Boxing. (She had lots of willing male victims in her Gym) So they put in this 5'11 amateur male who weighed 10lbs less in with her and told him it was ok to try his best. Well she threw some good shots but they had absolutly no effect on him and when he went for it she went down very easily. If I ever find a link to that video I'ii post it but it showed there is an enourmous strength difference between the two sexes. To claim otherwise to me is insanity. Women can do most things a man can do but that does not mean they can do it better against another man.

Women can excel and beat men, even in MMA. But they won't be able to do it against men of equal skill and size.

Grappling is a different situation all together.

In terms of averages, men will always win the vast majority of matches like this. The victories for women would come directly from highly superior technique or dramatic physical advantage.

Ok.. so im not sexist. lol. BUT.. just to even the score.. women.. dont worry, I admit you are naturally much better than men at things.. (like cooking.. cleaning.. doing laundry..) lol im just kidding. But really women do tend to be better with communication, anything that involves planning, and when it comes to grappling (or anything else for that matter).. you can always just hold out on sex until we do what you say.. because lets be honest.. its pretty much like having mind control abilities.

ive been asked this question 100 times. If the skills are equal the guy wins...if the difference is two belts or more and weight is within 20 lbs...the higher belt usually wins regardless of gender...case closed.

Perfect Example of a match i had when i was 13 with a 6'2 205 lb women. I weighed in at 105 for this tourny.

Womens fights are awesome if they are the serious kind, not the flaky kind. Women are hard as fuck. They have high pain thresholds and they fight to the death!

Iv said it before, but the hardcore girls (the Gabbys) are much rarer than the guys, but in terms of how hardcore they are, the best of the girls put the best of the guys to shame. Everyone knows that girls are not as strong as guys. If its judged on work ethic and bone hardness I believe the best of the girls come out on top.

If you really want to see a tiny little girl knock a solid dude the fuck out, the recipe is take equal parts ex ballerina and competent Muay Thai trainer, simmer for six months, stand back and enjoy.

Iv been teaching my girlfriend Jiu Jitsu so I have a portable pint sized training partner and shes a beast. Shes 120lbs and Im 220lbs and I dont get anything for free. Definitely the most talented beginner I have rolled with regardless of gender. Im looking forward to getting her some girls to roll with so she realises how good she is (she thinks I just go easy on her).

Im guessing unless you have fought a lot of girls (Iv fought a few) then Gabby, with her grappling experience is as close as anyone is going to get to an educated answer.

I think they have done studies on the strength difference between men and women which showed that all things being equal men are 10% stronger then women. Which works out similar to what gabby was saying about there being less than 20lbs difference technique prevails. If you look at all the world records for athletics the margin between the men and women's records is also about 10%.

Hey Sly nice video but I wish I had it years ago. I remember a conversation I had with my mates girlfriend and her buddies. They actually thought that when these women beat up men in movies that it's actually possible to do that in real life! I said no.1 those punches and kicks wouldn't hurt most guys and no.2 even if you did knock him to the ground he would just get straight back up again and be angry as fuck! Then what are you gonna do? Of course they didn't buy it and what made it worse was that none of them even did any martial arts! This video would have been helpfull at the time!

I'm assuming your talking about Jiu-jitsu only? That of course relys on leverage not strength and athletisism like a real fight. Kudos to your victory over a much larger opponent. That was impressive!

Wow Tim thats a pretty big statement to make? How can you possibly make such a sweeping generalisation based on your own personal experiences? Have you been in the camps of all the worlds best male and female fighters and compared them all to each other? I'm not sure how can really say how you the best of the girls put the best of the guys to shame?
