Awesome throw, smooth double leg drag to finish, congrats!!! :)

We worked super hard on Joey posturing and passing the guard this last camp. Austin was 4-0 going into the fight and we knew he was a legit purple belt that has submitted guys off his back and was a real threat. The double leg drag to over hand is something we spent a lot of time on, and he hit it perfectly.

Joey is a scary dude. I think people expect him to be strong, but they don't expect him to be as fast as he is.

Coach, how many fights do you think until he gets his first pro fight?

We are shooting for a couple more to work out a few things. Right now we are focused on his rematch and title fight in Sept.

sooooo bummed i couldn't be there. what a throw that was. super impressive. joey is a damn beast, and just continues to get better. he's a thrill to be able to train with and watch improve, except when he's throwing kicks to my leg during thai pads :(
