Sorry I just couldn't contain myself. I truly did not expect Barnett to tap Lister. That was some nasty CACC. Wow. Just wooooow.
Wow.

Yeah, totally unexpected. And that particular submission isn't something you see every day
So sweet. That sub has actually been one of my favorites since I saw Paulo Filho do it to Big Nog in an in-house roll. That monster top game though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAPFYg676ss
(In other news: donkey guard. What a nutcase...)
Yep - I was shocked too. Overall it was a really enjoyable event.
The size difference was WAY more than I expected. Barnetts thigh looked bigger than Listers torso.
yeah barnett is one of those guys who cuts to get to 265.
Big dude! It wasn't an entertaining game plan but he did what no one else has done in years so props to Barnett. Enjoyed the Vinny/Keenan and the Glover/Yoshida match the most, The Comprido and Saulo match was hard to watch.
Yeah it's like how Eddie described the last Rafa/Cobrinha match at ADCC. You have two guys with less than stellar wrestling fighting for the first TD...in this case is was less than stellar judo. I'm not familiar with judo, but I'm sure that even the grip fighting wasn't very entertaining for those who really know grip fighting.
Barret/Glover was great man. Glover is always fun to watch, and Baret is a legend. I was surprised when people didn't give a round of applause. He's an OG OG man. He was doing ADCC during the dark ages when the UFC wasn't even on PPV anymore. But, BJJ is mostly comprised of white belts, so you can't expect them to know who he is. But I hope they know now. He's a legend IMO. And the fact that he still competes is so awesome to me.
I was hoping Kit/Tonon would be more of a war, but man, Tonon is just getting that much better. And he's only 22. He's got a bright future.
Keenan/Vinny was impressive. I was impressed with the fact that Vinny was able to not just hang with, but threaten a guy like Keenan who's only focus and full time life is train and competition where Vinny has to split it teaching and training MMA. Definitely shows how elite level Vinny is.
Minus the Saulo fight, the event was fun.
I really liked Barets waist clinch set ups for the back/truck/crucifix, he never got in all the way but it still looked fun. Glovers fetal position sweep he hit over and over was really nice. I thought Barnett would finish Lister, to big, smart and good, but not with that.
Barnett getting lister was the best thing for Metamoris. It's going to build up a huge CACC vs Jits argument for the next fight and bring a ton of viewers.
That was a lot of fun. Metamoris is doing a great job bringing jits to a wide audience.
Ralek has a good opportunity here to rally behind the CACC win and promote a X grapple art vs X grapple art in the next Metamoris.
Title: CACC vs Jits
Judo Vs Jits (also being a female match by using Ronda?)
Sambo Vs Jits
Sambo vs Greco
Sumo?
People love to argue styles. I think this would pull a lot of viewers. The UFC grabbed its viewership by starting out with the same style vs style battles in the beginning too.
I was entertained the whole time. Yes it was slow but the anticipation of Barnett locking something up from north south and side control kept me on th edge of my seat.
I was thoroughly entertained
Just seen all The matches luved them. Especelly lister/barnett since it brought back memoris for me i also tapped To that sub im my very first match as a white belt ... Good times ;)
And ribero/comprido is legends evan if there style is old now they still gets respect from me.
