Frank Mir vs. Josh Barnett would be badass, his MMA career is nearly over and I'd love to see him at Metamoris.

Barnett should be a heavy favorite in this match and for good reason. First of all, Cyborg is known for leg attacks but his aren't as good as Dean's, which aren't as good as Barnett's and unlikely to tap Barnett in any case. Second, Cyborg had a long grueling match against an already tired Dean at ADCC in which he only passed at the very end to win by points. On the other hand, Barnett just ran through Dean in a manner that was a bit frightening. He took a few minutes to pass the guard in the way I sometimes take a few minutes to open a jar of pickles; it might annoy me for a bit, but it ain't stopping me.
The only increased threat that Cyborg offers is a more dynamic open guard. That makes the match interesting, perhaps, but Barnett excels at smashing and passing guard.
I thought Lister was either gonna' breeze through Barnett or it would be a draw until I seen the sheer fucking size of Barnett. I think Roy Nelson would tire out before the 20 minute mark especially with a guy like Barnett on top of him. Werdum would be awesome too but I'd say he's busy rolling in that Joe Lauzon dollah right now with TUF and the upcoming fight with Velasquez.
that match made me question lister's game outside of anything leg lock related, especially if he is facing someone larger than him.
i think cyborg will deal with barnett's weight much better, i don't know if i will go as far to say he will finish him but i think it will be a much more competitive match.
I had no clue how big Barnett was. He is a giant.

Lister would kill me and Barnett would kill me, but Lister's strategy in that match still confused me. He looked pretty unprepared to deal with a bigger guy.
Cyborg might be too small for Barnett. I think Buchecha is one of the only Brasilians that has a shot, only because he's so athletic and dynamic. And because of Roger's height I think he might be able to deal with Barnett's size
I agree about Buchecha.. I don't think the odds are in his favor.. But I think he's about the only Brazilian who has a significant chance. What about people outside of Brazil? Nog isn't the same fighter. Neither is Barnett.
I could see Cain beating him. I can see Cormier beating him. In the jiu jitsu world I could see Cyborg winning. He's fought big dudes before. Werdum is as big as Barnett. I could see Vinny's guard giving Barnett trouble.
I know Barnett looked really good, but it was against a much smaller fighter who typically fights at 185 in mma. Tapping Lister is still a big deal. But I think the match would look different if the weight was equal.
